Great food and a relaxed atmosphere, which is exactly what I want when I'm by the sea. So nice to have a different menu depending on the fisherman's catch. Umhlanga is becoming very franchised and this little gem is local food at it's best.

After reading the reviews I thought we had hit the fish jackpot. We sat outside - huge mistake traffic horrid and noisy. We had to go inside to ask for a menu. A horrible short man threw one at us with a very rude demeanour. Think he is the manager. Rude. Finally got a menu- she took ages to do... More

Introduced to this restaurant by some locals for its excellent seafood. The fish and chips was only the best we have had for a long time. Friendly and quick service. We surely recommend this place and look forward to come back soon.

Every year we holiday in Umhlanga. Every year we dine (and have take aways) from FISH. Never have we had a bad experience! They will try accommodate us if they are fully booked, We never have to wait long. The food is fresh, the ambiance great. Long may they be in business! We'll certainly support them.

According to Trip Advisor the restaurant was within a kilometre of my B&B. I phoned Uber and after driving around fruitlessly phoned the restaurant and got the manager to direct the taxi driver. The taxi bill was more than my restaurant bill! The fish I had was tasty but I sat around waiting for subsequent service and was asked if... More

Three of us landed in Durban in the evening on a business stopover. Famished and feeling like seafood we consulted Tripadvisor and decided on Fish. I double-checked with my family in La Lucia who confirmed that they had yummy food but limited seating and that booking a table was essential. We ordered a plate of prawns to share and the... More

I read a recommendation in the British Airways magazine and booked an early table. I have been in search of a decent prawn in SA's restaurants for some time and most of them are terrible. These prawns were so good I felt quite sad when the waitress took my plate away! The oysters were fantastic too. The wine list was... More

We were recommended this restaurant by locals, so you would assume it was good. We arrived early as we didn't have a booking. Liked the casual atmosphere We order the calamari starter which was quite good. The fresh fish selection was limited to only a few local fish and a few overseas. We both ordered fresh local fish with rice... More
