I was attending the annual Clover Aardklop sponsors luncheon at this superb venue. This was my first visit. I did not know what to expect... and was pleasantly surprised. This venue is part of Gary Player history. The setting is relaxing. The food is out of this world. The service was extraordinary! A must visit!

If you are looking for a wonderful restaurant with a great atmosphere and delicious food then Casalinga is definitely worth a try. Just a short drive outside of JHB in Muldersdrift you'll find this beautiful restaurant. It is suitable for families with play areas for children but also perfect if you don't have kids and want a romantic Sunday lunch.... More

On Sunday afternoons they have a set menu with a choice of dishes per course as well as a la carte. Each dish is mouthwatering and every single member of our party loved their food. It costs R320 per person. The restaurant is rather large and it was a very hot day so it was a little warm sitting inside... More

Casalinga never disappoints - the 25 or so kilometer trip from Sandton is worth every minute that it takes to get there. Yesterday was a typical, hot day ( 35 degrees C) in Johannesburg and there was no better place to spend a long lazy lunch. The food ( upmarket Italian) was up to its usual standard, from the home... Who would have expected this along a country road out from the city. It is a beautiful property with gardens and dining both inside and out under the trees. A Sunday afternoon luncheon that we happened upon. The staff is great. The food is excellent and beautifully presented. A great place for friends and family to gather for a relaxing... More

The grounds are beautifully maintained and their are various restaurants to choose from as well as a café and coffee shop The staff are friendly and attentive although they did get some things wrong as it really busy on Sundays. The standard of food is very good - it was a set menu(R300 for adults) but there was lots of... More

It is a favourite 'celebrate an occasion' restaurant. Service is personal. If the starters or a meal do not suit you exactly it will be adjusted to suit your taste, including making up a starter for you rather than one choice only.

We eat regularly at Casalinga and have her been disappointed over the last 30 years that we have dined there. The food is exceptional and the varied menu caters to all tastes. The ambience is country dining and the gardens are beautiful to stroll through. All the herbs and vegetables are fresh and grown on the premises. The service from... More

Casalinga is a nice italian style restaurant in a peaceful and beautiful spot, off from the roads, dust and noise. Enjoyed a gala dinner, with lots of people, and still the food quality was really good. I would like to go for a private dinner and have a more peaceful experience.

Top marks to the organization behind Casalinga! 100+ guests at a wedding beamed, along with the bride and groom, as they were swept from marriage vows to culinary delights fit for any royal couple. The roaming cut-grass means children are at home here, besides entertainment such as getting on a horse for the young ones. The food was excellently prepared... More
