Two of us shared a Kilo of prawns. So often, especially when there is a special, the prawns are smaller and of a lower quality. These prawns were superb. The service was good and the Manager/owner was always visible. A very happy evening- highly recommended!

I was there for a business lunch and really enjoyed the good service and food. It was also very easy to find a good spot to communicate properly.

One of those wasted eating out opportunities! I was meeting old uni friends on a visit to Johannesburg where - as you will see from my many other restaurant reviews for this city - I think there are some very good restaurants; particularly the specialist steak restaurants. This restaurant was chosen as a 'halfway' point for the various people attending.... More

During my stay in Bryanston I often visit Adega's in Grosvenor Crossing. Call me a creature of habit, but I do not like disappointment and this particular outlet of Adega's is guaranteed not to do that! Sushi is always freshly prepared and good selection of wine with great coffee. Highly recommended!

Adega has a high reputation to live up to and while there was nothing specific we could pinpoint to complain about, our lunch was tangibly below par compared to their heady days in the Bryanston shopping centre. When we raised the point that our sauces and much of our food was ice cold, the owner/manager tore a strip off the... More

Every year we like to take my father-in-law to have fish at Adega. He is Portuguese so he remembers when Adela opened down the road and he visited regularly. In the past we all had the Sunday buffet, which even at R200 (now R220) per person was really great. Good value for money as we got to have some of... More

My husband got a R100 voucher for his birthday from Adega. We decided to give Adega Bryanston a try. Was an excellent choice. The food was superb. Will definitely go back. Well done on good service as well.

We had visitors from Germany who were having a farewell lunch. They wanted a quiet venue to be able to talk. Unfortunately it was a Sunday with a band and singers. The restaurant was very helpful and moved us to a quieter table. All the dishes were served hot and were tasty! The service was a bit slow as we... More

Good food, fresh and hot. Service is excellent and the Restaurant Management are there to assist patrons. The menu caters for both meat eaters, chicken lovers , fish lovers and vegetarians. Although the vegetarian items are a bit limited which could be increased, the items on the menu are good. Lovely ambiance provided with good overall service. Will absolutely recommend... More

Chicken was burnt, clams were disgusting. Service was really slow and we had to repeatedly ask to be served . Won't be returning . Save your money and go elsewhere
