Worth stopping as evidenced by the number of locals also eating at this Mexican place. Combo plate is huge and tasty! Traditionally authentic Mexican with a great menu. The dessert fry bread a la mode is very tasty especially if you like cinnamon.

Enjoyed my first Navajo taco! Make sure you try the Fry Bread ala mode, yummy! Great friendly service. The Mexican dishes looked good also.

A very busy little restaurant with an excellent Mexican & American menu. The staff were very attentive and the food was very tasty.

Staying in Kayenta to visit nearby canyons, we chose the Amigo Cafe for dinner. The menu was interesting, the service friendly and efficient, and the restaurant full of locals. We chose burritos with a side of Navajo fry bread. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. There is no liquor license, but we didn't mind because the food was so good. We... More

I have had a lot of mexican food both in US and elsewhere, but the chicken fajitas here is definitely amongst the better I have had. Not greasy and oily as in many places in US, just perfectly grilled with great taste.

Enjoyed the flat bread taco very much. My wife got the chimichanga which tasted amazing. Server was kind and helpful. Would eat here regularly if I lived near here.

We loved it! Navajo taco, Navajo burger, sour cream enchiladas, tacos. While waiting for our food we were entertained by the books on "Guide to Lying about Fishing" and another one about surviving "Geezer-hood." The wait staff was attentive and there were locals enjoying food in the restaurant, not just tourists.
