This is a delightful escape where one can sip tea and enjoy pleasant conversation. Upon our arrival, the hostess noted that one member of our three-person party had a walking cast and a walker. She seated us quickly and paid particular attention to assuring that our injured friend was seated comfortably. We ordered the Duchess of Bedford Afternoon tea which... More

I visited here yesterday with a charming young lady and her two daughters. We had booked the table over a month ago, just as well as it was absolutely full!! The restaurant is delightful adorned with tea cups, saucers and teapots in British China of all sorts, the tables are beautifully laid with flowery table clothes, delicate British tea cups... More

More than a restaurant, this is an authentic experience per se. This place makes you travel to another epoch, I would say to the English victorian one. Also reminds me when I was a child, because all is so cute, and you forgot about the time when you are there and you feel so "creative" to play a role of... More

My group came for an early Mother's Day. I loved the Tea and the atmosphere. The owner has done a wonderful job creating a lovely tea room with vintage touches of England and Queen Elizabeth everywhere. There is quite a selection of delicious teas and a variety of tea, food selections. The lunches looked absolutely delicious but we were not... More

This Carefree treasure has delighted my friends for several years. It never disappoints & is the perfect place to enjoy a traditional English tea, breakfast or lunch. Pure Delight! The right amount of frilly, really good food and extensive high quality tea selections. There are delightful GF dining choices including deserts & scones!! And borrow a hat from a trunk... More

The tea room doesn't need my revue as it is a go to place for tea and does great Quiche especially but other Tea Room fare. No liquor so prepare to drink some of the fine English Tea that is available.

The tea room certainly provides a unique experience. The decor is utterly feminine; I love the mismatched tea cups and plates, the pink linen napkins, and the creative chandeliers. My friend ordered the authentic beans on toast, which she loved. I believe they bake the bread there... Another friend ordered the soup and scone, and I ordered the assortment of... More

It is a place well-suited to an old Victorian house, but is set in a small space in a tourist center. That is all right because it allows you to do other things while you are in the area. You can mosey on through all sorts of quaint tourist shops and it is scenic. It is more comfortable for 4... More

Okay, this has got to be the classiest place in Carefree! Jo London who owns the restaurant is the classiest person I know. The tea and crumpets are amazing. Everything on their lunch menu that they serve is incredible. English Tea room is such a quaint place, the people, service, food is incredible. I work right around the corner from... More

My girlfriends and I love going to tea places. We have visited several restaurants serving restaurants that serve high-tea in the metro-Phoenix area, and this is definitely one of the best. TOTALLY worth the drive. The scones are larger than other restaurants. The selection of teas are expansive, and you can purchase them afterwards as well.
