Not a comfortable visit This a lovely restaurant, part of the Alaya. We were able to use the restaurant as we were staying in the Steigenberger next door. We had a couple of windy, cold evenings and unfortunately we had booked one of these evenings....The restaurant is completely open to the wind and it was very cold even wearing a top and a rain coat, we asked for a heater or a blanket but there weren’t any. It as also very dark and if it weren’t for the torches we wouldn’t have been able to read the menu, when the food was served and we were eating we literally couldn’t see to eat. The plates were cold and with the wind the food was soon cold. The food was very good but we didn’t enjoy the evening. The weather is not the fault of the restaurant and the guys were really nice and attentive but in my opinion the lights need to be slightly brighter, something done to help break the wind, use of gas heaters and or blankets and hot plates.More

Zaytoun has a lovely location on the edge of the swimming pool at the Sensimar Alaya hotel. The welcome was lovely and we were seated quickly..... I have to say the subtle lighting is extremely subtle - menu's have little lights on them (otherwise they...would be impossible to read!) Anyway, the menu is gorgeous - my friend and I tucked in - I had the Lebanese potatoes as a starter..... seriously, they were AMAZING.... they were so good that I asked if (rather than the accompaniment that was advertised) I could have more potatoes with my main course..... When it came out, my fish had rice with it..... which was very soon followed by a gorgeous dish of the potatoes - seriously happy days😁😁😁 My friend simply couldn't face any dessert so I had the sweet middle eastern pastries - they were lovely (and different to those which were available at the Stiegenberger hotel next door) Fab evening - with a wonderful team who really help make your eveningMore

We were lucky enough to be able to use this restaurant twice as we were staying at Steigenberger Coraya Beach for 4 weeks & this was included in our package. Food was fabulous, service was brilliant, wine delicious. The only drawbacks are the lighting.......it needs...more as you can barely see your food . Outside venue.......fine first visit but second time it was really cold as it was windy, so wear trousers & take a jacket. Lovely to see 2 ex waiters from Premier Le Reve ....we all recognised each other....small world !!! Go if you get the chance .More

Situated by the pool it was lovely to eat by candlelight, so romantic. Food and service were very good & can thoroughly recommend this restaurant. Thee is also a shisha section by the side of this restaurant which doesnt affect the diners.More
