Despite being a little "off the beaten track" this little gem of a find was well worth the slight diversion to get to . . and as other reviewers have eluded to, not so much a vineyard as cafe/restaurant This suited my partner Claire and I, as all we wanted to do was taste the wine and we were served... Work lunch prior to Christmas. Meal looked lovely, but was cold. Vegetables difficult to eat as were not cooked. If you have dentures, would be difficult to manage the vegetables. Salad also difficult to eat for some as red cabbage to thick-no offer of extra dressing, so very dry. Lovely setting but wouldn't return to eat. Also off the beaten... More

We had a lovely day / night there on our work do. Badminton was set up outside which was so much fun. Lovely day having drinks in the sun and then a delicious hot ham Buffett at night. A lovely place!

Went to a wedding here and had some of the most amazing home cooked fare you could ever expect to have. Absolutely awesome food to die for and thoroughly recommend a visit here.

To clarify for visitors mainly interested in the wine; such as ourselves, this cafe is adjacent to the vineyard and serves Opihi wines, but is not a winery and is a separate business; the grapes are taken north to Lone Goat winery in Burnham, vinified and bottled there; having said that, they are quite good compared to some others we... This is a lovely cute rustic wee winery nestled away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. It was our plan to celebrate Mum's birthday and not to be at home for the 4th Anniversary of the Canterbury Earthquakes and we couldn’t have picked a more relaxing friendly environment! Great food and wine, all very well price. The service was... More

Stopped at the Opihi Vineyard on Sunday. We didn't have a booking but we're made welcome. We were impressed by the manners of the teenage boy that served our table. The food was delicious

We had enjoyed a nice lunch at Geraldine and saw this by chance as it's on a back road between Geraldine and Pleasant Point, so we stopped in and enjoyed a glass of their locally produced wines. What a beautiful setting ! It's a historic old house reborn as a winery / restaurant. The menu while limited look great -... More

The reason I wrote this is the last review complained about paying for tastings. Look here wineries all over the world are charging to taste and so they should. I paid $20 for wine flight four wines and tasting plate at Mclarenvale SA the other week. $10 at Cloudy Bay to taste and $20 for food platter The tasting here... More
