Best brekky of hubby's life! My salmon salad fresh as and home baking heavenly. Long time ratepayers of Ohakune and don't come here enough.

Was a regular at this little gem 2013-15 whilst based in the region for business. Never missed a beat for food quality, wine and service. Returned for first visit Sunday past to reconnect and very happy to say nothing has changed. Such a classic owner operator model where the important things like attention to detail matter, without trying to be... More

Visited this cafe twice over our stay in Ohakune. Food, service and atmosphere was exactly to our taste. Just wish we had a cafe like it at home. Hopefully we get to visit again in the future

We arrived close to finishing up time, but we were still served cakes and coffee with a smile. Wish we had time to come for a nice lunch as this place looked lovely for an afternoon relaxing lunch + the outside area in the sun would have been great

As locals this is our favourite go to cafe. Amazing smoothies. I love the cheese scones, and the chocolate brownies are divine. A super place to visit - sit outside under the trees and talk to C-for the resident moggy. Very kid friendly. Great atmosphere.

Sadly the warm, friendly staff (of previous reviews) weren't working the day we called into the cute cottage that is OCR. I felt the staff attitude was they couldn't be bothered and not a smile to be seen. However, the coffee was very good and cakes delicious.

Cafe hosts were very warm and friendly, a really cute cafe with variety of amazing food. Staff were happy to accommodate my food allergies- gluten free food was great too! Dinner menu looks good too

A few friends and I popped in for brunch in a Sunday and although the food was good, the wait for coffees and then food was so long! We waited about 30mins after ordering at the counter for coffees and teas, and the food was another 35 mins after that! Whilst this cafe has a high turnover of tables, it... More

Came for a late breakfast early lunch.... Whilst waiting for train to Wellington as it is two minutes walk from station. Weather not great so very busy with people waiting for cloud to lift. All ages and types. Very friendly staff let us know it was going to be a wait for our drinks. So a decision could be made... More
