located slightly out of the way on the water, this two story villa is a romantic delight with great atmosphere and amazingly good food. The concept is a bit unusual, it's as if there were multiple restaurants at the same time. The sushi tasting menu is stunningly presented and they keep it coming until you say stop. Also included are some fragrant Thai dishes. We didn't bother with the pizza, there's enough of that elsewhere.
Cabo Frio is a popular resort town and as such is known for beach food. Casa Kanoa would be an excellent choice in any locale. Being in such a culinary backwater it is even more welcome

Delicious food, cozy environment, the decoration makes you feel somewhere else, sublime. Our waiter, Lucas, was extremely attentive and his service made our experience in Casa Kanaloa even better. Sure we will be back!

I had a doubt to get Thai food where far away from my home (I come from Thailand) and miss Thai food since we were traveling to Brazil. But we gave a try and took a dinner there. Turn out we didn’t disappointed and so happy what we got!Good atmosphere for dinner ,good food and friendly staff.

Very pleasant surprise of a modern “Thai” place in Cabo Frio. Very charming atmosphere near the lagoon and especially good service from Alexandre and other staff. Rare to see this kind of attention to service detail in Brazil. Prices are a little high for Brazil but the chef executed in most cases-dishes at a level deserving of the price-range. -Good restraint shown in not over-modernizing dishes with too many sauces or cute tricks. Highlights included a shrimp and squash “risotto” and green mango salad with a nice tart punch. Paid Thai was good but could have used more tamarind and shoyu to give the salty-sour classic Pad Thai flavor. As a fan of traditional Thai, could have been spicier but diners here aren’t so into Thai level chile. The “poke rolls” were a nice light choice but could benefit from a larger portion. If I am back in Cabo Frio, I will certainly return to sample more of the menu. If I lived in the area, I would eat here twice a week if the price-point were little lower.

The restaurant is a 3 in 1. There is the option of an upstairs with all-you-can-eat Japanese. As we didn't go on the rotation, I can't comment on it. But for the rest I can say that the place is very beautiful, the service is 10, highlighting the waiter Alex, and the food is very delicious. But be prepared to pay a lot for the meal.

The crispy shrimp arrived cold. The strawberry caipivodka - there was no vodka and it looked like strawberry soda. He came back twice and it was still terrible. The waiters interrupted to take away the plates, without us having finished our meal.
I've been to the restaurant other times. And every time I go back, it gets worse. It lost the excellence it had at the opening.

We were exceptionally well attended to by the duo Cássia and Jerônimo.
Professional service demonstrating knowledge and kindness.
The dishes ordered were Pad Thai and Shrimps with coconut and curry!

It is a restaurant that we always return to when we go on vacation to the Cape. It is very beautiful in front of the canals, with excellent decor; as well as its fuscion cuisine (Italian, Thai and Japanese). The pizzas are the most delicious in Cabo; as is the sushi, highly recommended. The staff is adequate to the treatment. The drinks are simple. The place is very beautiful. We love it. The bathrooms are a little neglected for the quality of the place; they should be better that point. Both the interior and the patio are very nice. Medium to high prices; good value for money. Free Wifi. Cards accepted
