I have read reviews that were very critical, particularly the service and also poor standard of food. My experience however was that I received friendly, polite service and I enjoyed my meal. I think it’s important to remember that when in India when you visit...a cafe with a European name, and menu, it’s still a local cafe, in most cases trying it’s best to reproduce European food.More

I ordered a sweet lassi (really watered down) and "Thai Stir Fry" (rice, tofu, vegetables). It was virtually tasteless....NO discernable Thai sauce/seasoning. Definitely NOT a real Thai dish! All of it overpriced. The capper? The wash basin next to the bathroom: a "soap" dispenser that...dispensed water with a few molecules of soap in it. This whole dining experience would have been a one star except for the nice ocean view and pretty menu covers. I will NOT be back!!!More

We ordered pina colada and kerepa drink both are very bad ,ordered pizza was ok ok , biryani was ok ok and pasta was pathetic.

First time back since covid. Same staff pretty much and same menu. This was always an ok place and still the same. Hardly any tourists in Kovolam so far and many cafes shut. Been for breakfast and lunch and many cups of coffee and all...fine.More

A neat and friendly place and service. As Germans we were curious what is offered there. Our children had „Käsespätzle“, it was made fresh and it tasted good. My husband had „Frankfurter with bread“ , this was ok- it‘s a Bockwurst and the bread is...just „toast“. The rest of us had just some non-alcoholic Drinks (lime ginger Soda and mango smoothy) they were freshly made and tasted good. I would have excpected some fresh made bread or bakery items when one names his/her restaurant „bakery“ but nevertheless if you don’t excpext an „bakery“ it‘s a good and clean place for spending one‘s time. The view to the lighthouse and to the sea is great.More

Over rated place. Food is not at all good, we visited there based on recommendation of the people but did not find anything good. Useless pasta. The pizza was horrible. Aloo bhonda was ok. Chicken pop corn was also ok.

I had heard a lot of positive reviews about this places. And “Mabarref Flamb” as a “must try” item . I had orders the same and trust me it was a disastrous one . The taste was awful and it was a simple waste of...money. Don’t fall into the trap and just by reading good reviews . I have learnt my lesson.More

Pathetic experience. Very rude and unwelcoming staff. We went here to have breakfast after the beach and were informed that we cant sit and have food with the wet attire. Being a beach facing restaurant they expect us to come in perfectly dry attire- that's...really surprising and first of a kind experience in any of the beaches I have visited. Moreover the waiter was very rude and non courteous. The whole restaurant was empty and we were told that all menu items will take long time and we were made to feel in vocal terms that better you are not welcome. We left the place and had our breakfast next door with Coconut Groove without any fuss and the experience was decent.More

Good place.but not for kids.they dont have a separate smoking lounge,nor do they do have a no smoking zone...despite asking them to do something about it,they only asked us to change tables(to avoid sitting next to another customer who was smoking). When I cordially put...forward a suggestion, the staff proudly replied that they had been fined quite a few times by the health authorities for allowing public smoking,but they can't antagonize any of their customers.numerous customers who had visited with their families had also suggested it seems,but they dont care.More

great service and great home taste in their food, Might not be exactly like my favorite restaturants in Munich but i Love this german Bakery on the beach....Fair prices, great coffee and meal for fair price and beautiful scenery. they get my vote each visit...and most days I take my breafast here.More

This was our go-to breakfast/brunch spot in Kovalam. During our 10 day stay we must have visited 5 or 6 times. We love Indian food, but as tourists from Europe we appreciated some breakfasts with eggs, muesli, yoghurt, fruit and the like. Service was really...good, food was of good quality. Particularly like the wide range of breakfast options. Was relaxing to sit out of the sun but look over the ocean. Highly recommend!More
