MALABAR CAFE, Kovalam

Amazing place while you stay in kovalam. During my four days of visit at Kovalam had dinner on first night at this place but the warm hospitality by Mr. Pravin wand the taste & quality of food made me and my hubby visit this place...for all four nights. Absolute value for money, hygienic approach and tasty food. Tried continental as well as local delicacies and all were made well. Should visit this place whenever u stay at kovalam and don't forget to meet Pravin and he will make your Kerala holidays memorable.More

Nice view

I came in for a late afternoon snack, to treat myself on my day off from Ashram / Yoga life. I had a craving and ordered French fries, a vanilla milk shake and a coconut. The view was nice, the service was very slow. The...milk shake was more like thick milk and the coconut was not refreshing but hot, as it had just been picked from a nearby tree. I would imagine their local dishes are probably better. I did meet a nice Australian woman who gave me some good tips about the area and also happened to be reading the same book.More

Great Seafood place

They have great fresh Seafood which goes well with butter nans ....... Red Snapper in traditional banana leaf is great there

A great choice for Seafood

We dined here while in Kovalam, always well supported, with great service and meal options. The seafood is freshly prepared and always tasty, consiistently good food at reasonable prices, try it!

Good

The food is very good,hot and tasty. Good choices available. Service can be a bit slow at busy times. The toilet needs attention, the smell is awful. Otherwise good place to eat.

Excellent Beach cafe/restaurant

I have eaten here many times. The food is good, especially the freshly caught fish in the evenings. The service is good.

Good Food and nice service

I enjoyed having food in Malabar cafe, I tried other restaurants but I like the prompt service of this cafe. Tried other like Carb curry, Athithi, Beach Florr hotel but they are all either very expensive or not good taste

Good food, service ok but nothing more

Food is good and served in a generous quantity. The service is ok but not friendly. Even when you are a solo traveller. The price are nice. And they have fresh fish and seafood.

Great taste, wide choices, excellent view

Best food in Kovalam!

I ate here most days for 3 a week holiday. I did try 6 other restaurants. This place was my favourite. The Dutch bakery is very good food. But more money.

Good but overpriced

Great tasting meal

A great tasting meal. We thoroughly enjoyed a selection of delicious indian dishes. Tip: remember to red the dishes in the red banner at the top of the menu. We almost missed them. The were outstanding.
