We went up for lunch and had the most crazy server, she really should have written our order down. She messed up my mom's order twice and really should come back down to earth and concentrate on her job.

Subject: Timberline bar & grill 490 s Franklin Aug30, 2016 Great food matches great views; exceeded expectations. We reached the top of Mt Roberts tramway and were delighted to find a first class restaurant, the Timberline. As we were presenting ourselves to them very late in their day, we expected a fatigued wait-staff and indifferent service at best. Wrong. To... More

Service was inconsistent! Young staff but not very organized. She didn't seem to know menu or what they sold. More training definetly required. The food took longer than it should have. I assume similar issues in the kitchen. When it did arrive it was just OK. Certainly nothing that you would not have received at a 100 other spots. The... More

We came here because our tour included a meal at this restaurant. We took the tram up and enjoyed a fantastic view of Juneau. Our meal came with a salmon on a cedar plank, which was quite tasty, and two sides (I got corn and potatoes). We also ordered the crab nachos because every other table around us ordered it.... More

Access to the Timberline is via the Mount Roberts Tramway ($33.00 per person). We stopped in for lunch after going out to the Mendenhall Glacier. We were promptly seated, but it took awhile for our server to come and take our orders. We had two beers (Alaskan White, $6.00 per glass, very good) and a cup of the “Chilkat Chowder”... More

My wife and I went up the tram for anniversary dinner. The corn on the cob cob was cold not warm, cold. The onion rings were cold not warm but cold. $70 a plate all-you-can-eat Dungeness crab had zero flavor. Was obviously boiled in fresh water not salt water so therefore all the crab flavor was thoroughly washed out. Very... More

The restaurant was a sorry deal. Half the tables were empty but we were told they were short on staff and we couldn'T be seated. After waiting a bit we noticed people going to the bar so we asked about that and were told yea we could seat, ourselves there. Since they were short staffed we were prepared to wait a... More

The food was OK nothing spectacular but not terrible. The service was awful. There was live music with a great singer. The views down the mountain were great.

When your waitress forgets you, it's hard to enjoy your dinner. Especially when you see people who arrived well after you eating, and she hasn't even brought your salad. I had the vegan lentil black bean loaf. There was plenty of food, but it was pretty tasteless. My spouse had the large crab nachos. Way too much food. Not great,... More

Horrible can't even describe the food here. If you must, grab a beer or glass of wine and leave it at that.
