Really friendly staff and super cute lodged to stay in. Excellent breakfast food also! I went here in July & attended a party/band in the back yard. Really fun time! The Russian River is just across the road, with a beautiful view!

We had several good meals on our Alaska trip, and this was one. The chili was very good, and the pie even better. My friend had halibut and loved it—she also really liked the fries. Nothing fancy but hearty and good, and the atmosphere is fun—relaxed, warm, cheery. It was exactly what we needed after a long rain-drenched drive to... More

Shared a piece of carrot cake with my wife after a great meal. Had to go back the next night for a second piece. This time we each got our own so we didn't have to share one.

Satisfaction is guaranteed. Let us know then when we can make it right. Sorry about the issues. We do run out of items particularly late in the season when we keep our stock low. We also get shorted on orders. We put in an order and you don't know that they don't have it till they show up on delivery... More

IT's the 'real Alaska' experience... to come off the river and go have a great bowl of homemade chili or salmon chowder, in an authentic lodge that has been there for years, is the best! This place has been there and been great for years, before any others cam along, its always had a cozy family feel and a place... More

Coopers Landing does not have a lot of places that open early so I decided to try Gwin's Lodge. The restaurant is a very cool log building that has been serving guests for decades. I have breakfast twice, and both times it was very good. Nothing too unusual, but all well prepared. Very nice waitress, Amelia was very pleasant.

This roadhouse has been here as long as I can remember. It is a true atomphere of the early Alaska. The food for the most part is very hearty and good. It is just a fun place to eat.

Gwin's is a disaster. The food is overpriced, previously frozen junk. The service is horrible, mainly because of the kitchen taking so long. This place used to be okay, but multiple new owners can't seem to make it work.

Satisfaction is guaranteed. Of course Angus beef in Alaska is frozen. It is $5/lb. so it costs about 2/3 more than normal beef. There have not been "multiple new owners." I am the owner for 5 years. The prior owner had been here since the mid-1990s. Helen Gwin before that. After Helen there was one lessor operating it but Helen... More

It's been years since my wife and I had eaten there, but we decided to try it again. We actually celebrated our 30th anniversary there a couple of weeks ago. New ownership (as of 5 years ago) has brought about some nice changes. While the menu did not include steaks, what we did order was very good. I had the... More

We were overcharged for 2 items from the menu. We were "upcharged" for the cup of soup that supposedly came with the "soup and sandwich." Young waitress said she could remove it if I wanted. To which I said yes. We were overcharged for another item, but, I just deducted it from her tip since it was obvious from her... More

Sorry about that. Servers have zero incentive to overcharge you. It was a mistake. Servers DO have incentive to make you happy. Servers can be lazy at times, getting distracted talking with co-workers, and we will have a different work standard next season. Thank you. More
