Last June I stayed at the hotel for 5 nights with a couple of friends. After reading reviews, we did the half board so that we could experience the wonderful food at this restaurant. I really cannot describe how great this restaurant is. If you...are staying here, you will look forward to the breakfast each morning with wonderful pastries, jams, cheese, meat (upon request) and the best homemade vanilla yogurt I have ever had - it's like ice cream. The vanilla comes from Taha'a and it's amazing. Regarding dinner, I could eat the poisson cru every day. The fish is the best. If you are a chocolate lover, don't miss the molten chocolate "lava" dessert with vanilla ice cream. The chef is so kind he even made a cheeseburger for my non-fish eating friend one night. The service is low-key, yet attentive, and the staff are very kind. On Wed. night when I was there, they did a set meal and local entertainment of music and dancing. It was a high point of the trip (both the food and entertainment). The tuna tartar that was served as an appetizer is probably one of the best things I've ever had. and until this trip, I was not really a raw fish fan, lol. The local tuna is just spectacular.More
