I was a little concerned looking at the menu because it seemed unduly fussy/pretentious. But I was wrong: the service was excellent (efficient and nice but not intrusive) as was the food. We had a lovely dinner and a great breakfast the next day. And...More

We stayed at this hotel and are usually skeptical about hotel run restaurants, but we were pleasantly surprised.

The menu is quite interesting, but pricey and service was average. The setting in an old colonial house is very nice (probably the only nice thing about the restaurant)

Costa Rica is a very informal place. He will not need a jacket but I would not go there in shorts during dinner. But otherwise no one will bother you if you wear jeans or other informal wear.
