Cheap basic food just infront of the beach, all fine. Fresh juice wasn't really fresh but drinkable. Friendly service. Rice dish tasted very much chinese fried rice, so if you're missing it, why not give it a go...

Both of these restaurants are local and great. The food is delicious and although the building is old the premises are very clean. La Teresita is on the beach but Los Perones in mid-town.

Ceviche is bad and expensive, sea soup is bad. Beers are cold. I heard it was a good place to eat with a good price, disappointed that we didn't get any of those.

I had walked y several times and it looked to be a typical soda. The owner was friendly and invited us in. We said no but that night a read a positive review in lonely planet. We headed for breakfast the next day. We ordered orange juice which was fresh squeezed and very good. Then the 3 of us ordered... More

This was the first place we are in Coco. The owner was very friendly and food was great! My steak casada was good but my husbands fish casada was awesome! The owner even invited us out on his boat whenever we wanted (for $350 for fishing....)

This is a tiny restaurant with a few tables and ceiling fans. You can choose to eat on the patio but since cars park right in front of you, your view of the beach is obscured. But the food is really very good and reasonably priced. I suggest this for an early morning breakfast. Try it! Also the owner can... More

We ate outdoors and were entertained by a pair of strolling musicians (guitar and trumpet, with vocals). Two of our group travel with guitars and an impromptu cross-cultural jam session ensued. Lots of fun. The food is terrific here! Portions are very generous. Local dogs will visit and politely encourage handouts but were not intrusive and easily ignored.

We came for breakfast but after learning they had fresh parrot fish recommended by the owner, that's what we got and loved every bite. We put the dishwasher out of business, our plates were so clean by the time we had finished. Little local 'dive' of a place but friendly and yummy right on the beach. We'll eat there again!

Definitely a must if you are visiting Playas del Coco. It is tiny local eatery that is conveniently across the beach area. We had the casado bistek and red snapper lunch and they were so delicious!

This restaurant was recommended to us on our first day by a local Tico. Eggs were fresh, very clean, always lots of customers, both tourists and locals. Price was slightly high. But you are right across from public beach, so views are fabulous!
