Reviewed yesterday NEW

Roof top restaurant and bar over looking the river , seating outside is the best as inside there's music , but not too loud. Food is excellent , but the best thing are the views of the Bund, river and of course the Pearl tower . A real must to visit in Shanghai

We enjoyed the tasting menu with the wine pairings. The highlight for me was the seared scallops. All 5 courses were delicious. The service was excellent and the views of the Shanghai skyline were fantastic. A highlight of our trip to Shanghai

We dined on the terrace with a breathtaking view of Pudong at night. The degustation menu with matching wines is a must and our waiter, Francis was just wonderful. Well done Australia (owner)

We ate dinner outside at M on the Bund. The weather was wonderful and the view of the Shanghai skyline amazing. Service was very good, attentive but not over bearing. Food was ok. Enjoyable for romantic dinner or special time with family

Love this place. Been a few times and never lets you down. Food is high quality and views over Pu Dong are amazing at night. Excellent wine list. If you are in Shanghai, don't miss M on the Bund.

Shanghai is really a spoiled city: there are already so many fantastic places to eat and that creates a constant draw to bring so many new dining experiences to the city. You can get lost in the influx of NEW NEW NEW... Sometimes you forget how good the things that are still here after all these years really are. M... More

Had dinner with a group of 55 people. Food was excellent! Atmosphere was awesome. Plenty of space to have a meal then mingle with everyone at the bar and surrounds. DJ playing music. Views amazing. Highly recommend a meal here! Faultless, just brilliant!

I have eaten here many times mainly having brunch but once an evening meal .. An iconic place for good reason . Food is perfect and so is the service . On days when the weather is good for sitting outside ( when it's not too hot ) sitting out on the balcony with the amazing views of the river... More

So many people had told us to go to this restaurant that we saved it for our last night of a 2-week trip in China. What a major disappointment! Yes, it does have a spectacular view. But, so do a lot of other places. A week before, we had drinks followed by dinner at Pop (top floor of 3 on... More

Staying in The Bund

Neighbourhood Profile
The Bund
While there are certainly many other “bunds” in the world, “the Bund” refers to Shanghai’s famous waterfront. The area’s Gothic, Art Deco and Beaux Arts monoliths were built when it was part of the Shanghai International Settlement run by the British and Americans. The atmosphere of colonial-era luxury has endured over time and is now found in the five-star hotels, luxury brand boutiques and expensive restaurants that can be found within the historic buildings. A cultural center has built up away from the water and some of Shanghai’s best art galleries and museums are housed close to the Bund. Nighttime views of Pudong and the rest of the city also make for a great backdrop at the many rooftop clubs.
