Our concierge at the Peninsula recommended we try this place for a good combination of food and environment. It was raining when we visited so we had no opportunity to enjoy the vibe of the terrace and inside is quite frankly normal. The place was...More

We had a friend visiting. The Sunday brunch is at is best when the air is clean and not too windy. The food is good, not the best Brunch around but good value for money when you consider the place, the view, and the service.

The view from the terrace is terrific and the restaurant was packed both inside and on the terrace. The crowd appeared to be mainly tourists or expats/businessmen on expenses. The menu is Italian but little choice for vegetarians or fish eaters. We asked for sparkling...More

The Bund
While there are certainly many other “bunds” in the
world, “the Bund” refers to Shanghai’s famous
waterfront. The area’s Gothic, Art Deco and Beaux Arts

Americans. The atmosphere of colonial-era luxury has
endured over time and is now found in the five-star

Choosing this restaurant is not about cost. If that’s your focus grab a bite at the local street vendor. This is about the experience and value. One of the best. If you need t ask the price you cannot afford it

Hi Debbie, I'm not at all sure, either. Their website makes no mention of it - so I guess giving them a call is the best option. Rgds, TT

Description
For more than 15 years, M on the Bund has played host to the most glamorous gatherings in Shanghai. The sweeping views from our Art Deco terrace, the warm glow of our velvet-and-wood interiors, the attentive service of our staff and delicious fare make any event shine. Summer cocktail receptions overlooking the glittering river, cosy winter feasts, formal parties, product launches and more—whatever the season and the event, we promise a memorable occasion. M on the Bund's menu features a wide array of delights, including classics like M’s Crispy Suckling Pig, the Slowly Baked, Salt-Encased Selected Leg of Lamb and Our Hot House-Smoked Salmon. M’s Very Famous Pavlova, with layers of crisp meringue threaded with cream and fresh fruit, is a favourite finishing flourish to a meal. And it's all homemade—we bake our own bread, churn our own ice cream, craft our fresh pasta by hand and bring only the best to your table.
