Lillian's cheese tart is celestial! Every bite leaves you wishing there was more and more to eat. Full of flavor, sweet, creamy... is maybe top 3 of the best desserts I've ever tried.

This place is one my favorites and food there tastes better than tous les jours, ichido, and croissants de france. I recommend their egg tarts and cheese napolitains. Tiger roll was so-so. Easy to access locations. one is inside west nanjing road station, another is inside Dapuqiao station, and there is also one in zhongshan park station, first floor.

Just tried these for the first time today. Had one, then had to go back for another!! Try it, and you'll see why. Cost was 5.5 yuan at the outlet in Line 10, Wujiaochang S.

other bakeriest were good either. but best is the egg tarts! Not expensive, but high quality! while staying in Shanghai, we visited Lillian Bakery each day. Be careful not to gain too much weight! After I came back home, I became fat partly because of the egg tarts!

These are hands down the best egg tarts I have ever had. You must go when in Shanghai. There are multiple locations. One is off of line 2 West Nanjing road in the station. Easy off and on the metro!

Best egg tart I have eaten. It melts in your mouth and super fresh. The egg tart only costs RMB5. They sell cakes and bread too.

Staying in Jing'an

Neighbourhood Profile
Jing'an
The heart of this neighborhood is the Jing'an Temple, while the main artery of excitement and entertainment is West Nanjing Road. Close to the Former French Concession, the area has a similar draw for foreign residents but displays a more commercial character. Large, flashy malls, luxe residential high-rises and trendy nightlife areas can be found along West Nanjing Road, but areas off the busy street have the same quiet cafes and independent boutiques that many people think of as distinctive of the Former French Concession. Jing'an is less encased in amber, though, and it's possible to immerse yourself more fully in the energy of China's most bustling metropolis here.
