Good choice of Vietnamese food. Prices OK. Mall eating. The credit cards they take are limited, VISA seemed to be OK but not Mastercard. Closes early in the evening.

Went with a friend for an early dinner. Ordered Vietnamese prawn spring roll and Sugar cane prawns for sharing starters. Great presentation and taste. The mains was the signature pho noodle soup with assorted beef, large portion and tasting very good. The service was swift, the restaurant looked clean and well maintained. The interiors had a nice design suiting the... More

Very nice diverse Asian food, priced as should. Nice crowd consisting mainly of middle class Chinese. Definitely a safe choice for inexperienced Asia visitors that are not quite ready yet for the full local experience.

Saturday evening in Shanghai is pretty chaotic at the best of times so it was great to get a seat at this 5th floor restaurant. The staff are reasonably attentive and it helps that the menu is also in English. Beer is served and all your favourites are there so no fear of trying the unknown. There's a starter dish... More

Had a business lunch here. We ordered starters like spring rolls, and tasty cold slices of beef. These were ok, but took quite long time to arrive. Chicken and shrimp curries were ok, but nothing special. Spiciness was toned down. Actually I think these were really Thai food. This place is not really Vietnamese, more like south east Asian mix.... More

Non oily, close enough to the original, small portions, decent menu selection. Free wifi. A solid choice to dine at in the mall if you feel like something fresh. I prefer this restaraunt over almost all in this mall

We came in on a hot sunny day expecting a very nice lunch. Atmosphere is nice and service is pretty good, although the staff doesn't speak English well. We ordered two set lunches, a bowl of Pho and a bowl of vermecilli with kebabs. The set lunches were not presented very nicely and flavor was not right, the Pho did... More

Pho Asia is located on the 5th floor of the Raffles City shopping mall at 268 Xizang Rd. It's not at the Raffles Hotel. There are several restaurants in Raffles City, but to me this one looked the smartest and best. There are pictures in the menu which make it quite easy to see what you're ordering and this makes... Staying in People’s Square

Neighbourhood Profile
People’s Square
People’s Square brings with it all the excitement you would expect from the town square of one of the biggest cities in the world. The area around People’s Square and People’s Park is always a abuzz with activity. Oceans of local and foreign tourists flow in and out of the area every day to see grand museums, go shopping and eat at some of Shanghai’s most storied food centers. Shanghai residents, meanwhile, live and work in the many residential and office high-rises. While much of Shanghai stays busy late into the night, this really is an area that never sleeps with glitzy nightclubs keeping people up until the wee hours of the morning.
