Really nice view, and no doubt the best brunch in shanghai, try to get one of the tables by the window and indulge yourself with their selected oysters crayfish and crab claws with a flow of Perrier jouet, amazing experience

First a focus on the manager Benjamin, the guy is full of attention, professional and in the end he knows perfectly the job. He definitely applied for the Western Europe standards less common in Asia with a fresh friendly attitude. Then, the view is excellent because you have at least a glimpse of the bund at every table I think... More

My go-to champagne brunch in Shanghai. Everything about it is exceptional. The view over Pudong, the intimacy of the venue, the professionalism of the staff, the quality and range of food and the constant refills of champagne, wine, soft drinks and Bloody Marys. I have tried other brunches and none compare, as of yet. Yes, it is expensive (works out... More

Came here for the Sunday Champagne brunch for a going away brunch. Arrived there at 11:30 just as it opened and were escorted to our table where they poured us champagne and water (obviously need to stay hydrated). In addition, the chef walked out and we weren't sure how to approach the brunch and what to go with first and... More

The service was impeccable, starting with an introduction to Vue by the manager Benjamin S (our first time here), the wait staff was very attentive, and the chefs at each station prepared eat plate to order. The attention to detail in the preparation of the food is quite evident with every bite. Chef Benjamin has put together an excellent assortment... More

Went for Sunday Brunch....tough reservation, and justifiably so. Food choices are quite limited, but everything is excellent. Top ingredients include Lobster, Iberico ham and Tiger Prawns. Free flow Champagne a bonus!

Great view of lujiazui Shanghai financial district and the bund area and all the way west to jingan. Hot tub and day beds on rooftop. Be warned: the drinks are awful and expensive. Stick to wine / beer.

High-end food with French flair and great service from restaurant manager. Enjoyed the seafood ravioli and caviar among many other dishes I had this week over multiple dinners. Several dishes such as the risotto and flambé fruit dessert were cooked right next to me on the granite-top tableside booths. The live cooking and great view makes VUE restaurant a superb... More

Description
VUE Restaurant is a classic European restaurant designed to create an elegant home-style dining experience. The decor transitions seamlessly from hanging racks stacked with culinary paraphernalia to book-lined shelves and sofas alongside eclectic collections of model cars, pipes and vintage corkscrews. Featuring traditional continental cuisine, it is not only a place to celebrate and entertain, but an ideal venue for business dinners and champagne brunches (offered on Sundays). At each tableside service, your chef will prepare “á la minute” signature dishes such as Caesar Salad, Lobster Bisque, Steak Tartar and Crêpe Suzette.

Staying in Hongkou

Neighbourhood Profile
Hongkou
History oozes out of every fiber of the city, but Hongkou is a particularly notable neighborhood. Shanghai was a safe haven for about 20,000 Jews during the Second World War, and traces of this heritage can still be found in buildings and park monuments. Historic foreign relations aside, this neighborhood throws you into traditional Shanghainese life without taking you too far away from the city center. Some of the city’s best-preserved, ancient longtangs (laneway communities) and shikumen (Shanghainese lanehouses) are still in use as actual residences here. If you like to be surrounded by local faces, Hongkou is a great area to spend your time in. The football stadium, Duolun Lu and the North Bund area await should you need some entertainment.
