I have frequented the Irishman's pub over several years visiting Shanghai. It is situated in a small shopping/restaurant plaza very close to the Radisson blu hotel where I often stay. As much as I like Chinese food it is nice to have a more familiar meal whilst away. The atmosphere is friendly with all the normal Irish Memorabilia in a... More

Used to really enjoy the Pub. Nightly dinner specials always good. Two meals this trip both just okay, beer expensive and had off taste. Shame to lose a place like this but won't be going back.

Beer expensive. Food OK. Ambience OK. Would I go back probably not. It's a pity because the place is well located and had potential.

I ordered the Fish and Chips in Beer batter which sounded great. Unfortunately the batter was terrible, the fish was processed and the salad looked atrocious. I left after eating 2 bites and paying my bill. I also made a comment to the staff about the food but got no reply.

I took my whole company there for a company outing.(15 people). The service was great and the food was extremely good. Try the Shepard's Pie, it was fantastic.

Went here back in November 2014 when I had a longer stay (1 month) in Shanghai. The selection of food is pretty good, however don´t go for the fries or the burgers... The fries are soft and the burger is dry (Should be the other way, right) The chicken sandwiches are good thou... They have lots of import-brews and they... More

Spent an afternoon here playing pool and enjoying their beer on tap which was good. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the food. We ordered fries to begin with and they were big and soggy instead of crispy and small. They were more like wedge potato's which I hate. Then I ordered a gailic burger which was dry and... More

The group I accompanied to the pub has a history of going as a group once a year after a charity run to raise money for children's open heart surgery in Shanghai. When we walked in the pub was nearly empty (2:30-3pm on Wed). So we had the place to ourselves. The decor was that of a typical pub but... More

Staying in Century Park

Neighbourhood Profile
Century Park
Shanghai residents see Pudong’s suburbs as the place that grown-ups retreat to when they’re ready to settle down and stop living in the cramped confines of a refurbished lanehouse. The areas around Century Park are some of the most desirable as they are in close proximity to the Metro Lines, granting easy access to the heart of Puxi. The park itself is a huge draw, it’s one of Shanghai’s biggest and there are sports fields tucked into one of its corners, but five-star hotels, museums and great malls make life in the Century Park area easy for the homesick foreigner. And if living in a Western bubble in China isn’t your thing, there is plenty of local flavor to be had in between the major development. Some of Lujiazui’s futurism can also be seen in buildings and sculptures throughout the neighborhood as well.
