We came for lunch to this restaurant called Bella Mia (and not Tiramisu) - a bit late for Chinese standards - at 2:15 pm - but the staff still allowed us in. We took the set menu - three courses for 98 yuan - a good deal compared to the other items on the menu (cheapest pizza is 88 yuan).... More

Great restaurant, probably one of the best in Italian in Shanghai. It's a hidden gem and Antonio and Antonello as southern Italian men makes you feel like home.

This restaurant is one of the best italian restaurant in Shanghai for good quality and correct price. The food is very good, they have the real Fiorentina (you have to order half day in advance), fresh sea bass, good pasta and pizza. Of course, they also have a very good tiramisu.

Excellent Italian restaurant in the hearth of Shanghai. I went there with Comer Industries colleague for a quick lunch. We enjoy as a starter a delicious polenta with Gorgonzola and as a main course we tasted a saffron rice with meat "ossobuco". Delicious food. Compliment again at all stuff and in particular at Mr. Contaldo Antonio for warm welcoming. I... More

Well, Shanghai is full of "Italian" restaurants...Being Italian myself, I am quite tired and disappointed by the level of food, service and price of 90% of these so- called Italian restaurants. Tiramisu was a real surprise: the food is definitely Italian, the atmosphere too. I think it's the only place in town where you can find 3 Italian people in... More

Staying in Zhongshan Park

Neighbourhood Profile
Zhongshan Park
The residential and commercial areas around the beautiful grounds of Zhongshan Park have never been considered particularly fashionable by a majority of Shanghai’s foreign residents, but plenty of expats do choose to live here. The park itself is a huge draw, providing a pocket of serenity in the middle of the metropolis. The area has its share of trendy shops with wares that can’t be found elsewhere, delicious restaurants with food ranging from fancy to affordable, and great hidden bars. Rents are also cheaper here than in other neighborhoods with the same conveniences. Aside from the obvious attractions, with its neighborhood fix-anything shops and pop-up street stalls that sell anything you need, you’ll never sacrifice Western comforts.
