First the address is wrong and this place located on Nanjing pedestrian above the big Apple store on the 2nd floor. Second the food is Japanese and barbecue do it your self on the table this a very nice experience. Well as i said at the beginning the fresh sea food and soshi along with finest meat this experience was... More

Akasakatei is a nice surprise in the third floor of the Apple store mall in Nanjing road. The address mentioned in TripAdvisor is wrong, or there is another branch at the same name. The seafood was just as fresh as can be, and the unusual way of barbecuing your own meet is just supers. Enjoy!

Service was awful. Didn't get our order right. Took 2 hours for lunch. And at the end did not accept a foreign credit card. At Kerry Parkside!!! They walked me to an ATM. Never again.

A supplier took me to this restaurant as he knew I am food of Teppanyaki. The place looked really nice and was busy when we arrived (which is always a good sign). I was told that the owner was Japanese so my expectations grew. However the service was terrible. The chefs were confused and they did not know what food... More

We went with a group of 10. Like all teppanyaki style, we were seated in a couter type table with the iron cooking slab in front. So it's not like let's enjyoy conversation while we eat. We went there at 6pm, and one of the first ones started ordering. It's an all you can eat place, so we ordered the... More

Following our conference in Shanghai we were entertained at this restaurant and had a private room and our own teppanyaki chef who delighted us with more than 15 courses, from seafood to steak. Starters of sashimi, lovely fresh tuna and the specialty of fresh urchin, followed by caviar eggs, coddled on the grill and individually served in special holders to... More

Staying in Lujiazui

Neighbourhood Profile
Lujiazui
When people speak of Shanghai’s futuristic skyline, it’s the financial district of Luiazui they are speaking of. Shanghai’s most iconic buildings are located in close proximity to Lujiazui’s elevated ring road and swanky eateries. Sky-high shopping and chic bars fill the highrises around the area. As is characteristic of a world-class financial business district, some of Shanghai’s best malls and hotels can be found in the neighborhood. While everyone on the famous Bund side of the river gazes in awe at these amazing structures, all the buildings here, as well as Lujiazui’s riverside promenade, offer great views of the historic buildings all along the Puxi side. The Lujiazui park often hosts music festivals throughout the year, and park goers can party and stroll in the shadow of some of the world’s tallest buildings.
