The line moved very quickly and the dumplings were cost effective. The flavour was great. Definitely worth a try

As many other said, food is amazing, delicious, filling and inexpensive. The best way is to order the combo of six with assorted flavors. But don't stick only to dumplings, the noodles will blow your mind too. Trust me. The shop is clearly recognizable. English...More

We were actually looking for a different dumpling place but the long lines outside this place told me it was probably going to be good. It took about fifteen minutes total from the time we got in line until we walked away with our boxed...More

First time I had the amazing shengjian dumplings. I tried the pork and shrimp stuffing - crispy on the outside but very juicy, in fact soupy on the inside. And wow the dumplings come very cheap.

Delicious dumplings. Good value for money. Ate here with my family and young child, easy quick to order and get food and watch them make it. Menu has English writing on sign, everything else done by pointing and they show you where to go etc.

Came here through TripAdvisor. The place is always busy but you can find seating areas always in this interestingly built building. if you go in early morning you might catch a break with no queue. The fried dumplings are simply AMAZING!!!!

These dumplings are indeed the best ones we tried in Shanghai! We ordered the pork dumplings and shrimp dumplings. They are so cheap, its really worth a visit. Just be careful when taking the first bite ;)

Don't miss this place if you are in Shanghai!! Takeaway or easy sitting. Maybe the pork one is the best of the trio. It by a slight margin.

This shop is opposite another Huang He Road mainstay and is just as delicious! I went for the 6 balls mixed set (2 of three kinds -pork, prawn/pork and vegetable (chives?)). Had to wait a while for mine as the prawn balls were still cooking....More

Maybe the Huanghe branch is better, but I had lunch recently at the Carrefore/Biyuen Lu restaurant and it was very substandard. Ordered the regular six dumplings for lunch, and they came out looking like they had sat in dirty brown oil since morning. Very hot...More

For anyone else that receives a request to answer the "question" above- I copied it and put in on a translator app and the writer is asking for the dumpling dough recipe from the restaurant!

Is this a sit down place or do you order from the street? I have no Chinese. Is this going to be a problem? What about business hours?

Nice call there James - got to love China!! There is a nice Hot Pot restaurant just nearby the one on Wujiang Lu and we would take our Yangs Fried Dumplings in there too, nobody cares.
