I was looking for a place for quick, cheap late dinner, and found Forever Young on Friday January 17, 2104. Since I do not speak or read Chinese, the English subtitles and pictures on the menu really helped. Three beers and a nice sized fried rice cost about $11 US..

Wonderful place in the middle of the busy city. After walking around and riding the subway all afternoon, Forever Young is a relaxing and welcoming place to rest and relax. The atmosphere is laid back and the staff friendly! The Korean dishes were excellent, although I admit my Korean expertise is limited. I loved the kimchi dish served in a... More

We just so much enjoyed being in this restaurant. The food was great (Korean style) and we liked being at a place where local young and "young-minded" people hang out. Apparently they have live music sometimes, but never when we were there. The staff was wonderful, very friendly. It was really an oasis for us in Shanghai. And it was... More

Staying in People’s Square

Neighbourhood Profile
People’s Square
People’s Square brings with it all the excitement you would expect from the town square of one of the biggest cities in the world. The area around People’s Square and People’s Park is always a abuzz with activity. Oceans of local and foreign tourists flow in and out of the area every day to see grand museums, go shopping and eat at some of Shanghai’s most storied food centers. Shanghai residents, meanwhile, live and work in the many residential and office high-rises. While much of Shanghai stays busy late into the night, this really is an area that never sleeps with glitzy nightclubs keeping people up until the wee hours of the morning.
