This place is consistently innovative, we have been visiting for 6-years and this is our treat at the end of a visit. Food is exquisite, the Lemon on Lemon tart is a sight to behold...Wine list extensive. Staff are attentive, this has always been a restaurant a cut above the rest.

It is most expensive place to have foods in Shanghai. Without having invitation, it's not easy to decide to come this area. The bund. Atmosphere is great. Foods are the level I expected to this type of area and place.

Nice views and decent menu. I've been here several times, but on my last visit, everyone's silverware in our party was dirty when the silverware is not clean, this gives me pause. I can't complain about anything else. Staff is attentive enough. Food tastes good. Good place to bring visitors.

Décor is fun and funky - ring bell to be admitted; cavernous place that is a cross between Versailles and a warehouse. Amazing Pudong view. Food tasty except the grilled vegetables (antipasti) that were so salty as to be almost inedible. Experience was disappointing: although these are French-influenced, western dishes, food was served Chinese style (appetizers, mains etc all showed... More

The setting is perfect for a night cap. Their late night menu, available on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights after 11 PM is a deal that you are not likely to enjoy on a regular basis unless you are indeed an owl. It does, however, merit at least one visit. If you are willing to stay up late, then this... More

Booked a table for 2. Booking was no where to be found. Although many tables were available we were given a table where we would be the target of anybody passing buy. took us about 20 mn to get the menu. Dishes ordered arrived almost cold. There are many other places in Shanghai that serves better food and give a... More

The restaurant is at the top of a former bank building on the Bund with incredible views of river and exciting buildings of Pudong and with terraces looking over the Bund. This is only part of the attraction. The food is incredible, very well presented, and the dining room is extremely well decorated in a sophisticated blend of new that... More

Very nice, classy restaurant but very pricey. It's very popular and advance booking is required to secure a table with a view. The food is delicious but the portions are small. Frequented by visitors and Shanghai expatriates.

Description
Mr & Mrs Bund – Modern Eatery by Paul Pairet. A modern French eatery. Relaxed chic atmosphere, heritage Bund location.Mr & Mrs Bund is French, in the manner of Chef Paul Pairet: born, traveled, and globally stamped. Contemporary, but not stuffy. Relaxed, without sacrificing an ounce of chic. We serve populist French favorites, through Pairet's looking glass. Service is family-style, recast for a modern table, and the wine list includes 32 wines by the glass. We riff on classics, we dish up comfort cuisine, and we serve it just like you would Sunday night dinner – sharing-style, and with plenty for seconds. It's a straightforward menu that takes simple French classics to start, and then let you add and play. Mash-ups: not just for potatoes and DJs anymore. Staying in The Bund

Neighbourhood Profile
The Bund
While there are certainly many other “bunds” in the world, “the Bund” refers to Shanghai’s famous waterfront. The area’s Gothic, Art Deco and Beaux Arts monoliths were built when it was part of the Shanghai International Settlement run by the British and Americans. The atmosphere of colonial-era luxury has endured over time and is now found in the five-star hotels, luxury brand boutiques and expensive restaurants that can be found within the historic buildings. A cultural center has built up away from the water and some of Shanghai’s best art galleries and museums are housed close to the Bund. Nighttime views of Pudong and the rest of the city also make for a great backdrop at the many rooftop clubs.
