The warm octopus was very good. And their version of Paella was even better. Be careful to note that highball drinks are not included in the happy hour. The manager was quite rude and she made us feel very bad for insisting that the highball...More

This place is quite large and is in a really nice little block of restaurants. The food was pretty good, though I've definitely have enjoyed better Cuban / Latin food. The cocktails were great though, and the service was really solid. This was a great...More

Came upon this place on a hungry walk, glad I went in for lunch. Their deal is good value and ample (had the Cuban sandwich). Cocktails are decently priced, too, and staff speaks reasonable English.

In early October I visited La Bodeguita while in Shanghai visiting my daughter, who studies there. As there is one Bodeguita in the city I come from, I was very curious to see this one. The restaurant is very nicely done, clean and it has...More

Looking for a place to grab a late lunch near my hotel (12 @ ShenHen) on a Sunday afternoon, I saw this place right across the road. Really enjoyed the seafood chowder washed down with a couple of bottles of draft beer. Love the music...More

Former French Concession
While there are technical borders to the area formerly
governed by the French in Shanghai, the "French
Concession" of today is an amorphous neighborhood that
is a favorite of the city's foreign residents. While
it is mostly within the Xuhui district, residents will
sometimes include parts of Jing'an and Luwan in their
mental maps of the Former French Concession. The area
seems frozen in time, characterized by quiet,

Description
La Bodeguita del Medio is a typical restaurant-bar of Havana (Cuba). It is a famous tourist destination because of the personalities which have patronized it: Salvador Allende, the poet Pablo Neruda, the artist Josignacio and many others. La Bodeguita lays claim to being the birthplace of the Mojito cocktail, prepared in the bar since its opening in 1942, although this is disputed.
