My kids and I had afternoon snacks here. Ordered the churros, calamari, garlic mushrooms and torta. The torta took a long time to cook but was worth the wait. The churros are forgettable. The rest are ordinary.

We stopped in for a quick bite and a beer. We ended up only getting pickled mixed olives because didn't have a lot of time. We enjoyed sitting where we could watch the happenings on the street.

Shanghai has a few but good tapas places and this luckily was not my first or else I would have given up. The "lamb" was chewy or rather rubbery and when I mentioned to waitress she offered a different knife that could apparently cut through...More

Former French Concession
While there are technical borders to the area formerly
governed by the French in Shanghai, the "French
Concession" of today is an amorphous neighborhood that
is a favorite of the city's foreign residents. While
it is mostly within the Xuhui district, residents will
sometimes include parts of Jing'an and Luwan in their
mental maps of the Former French Concession. The area
