We had a delightful meal here after a few challenges to find the place. It is not marked in the correct place on Maps, so we had to search for the place. Eventually discovered it in the bottom floor of a Centre that has other...shops. Look for the place, it is worth it. The food was delicious and so rich in favor, even for me who cannot eat spicy food! The only comment was that the nan bread could have been a bit crispier. A hidden gem, because of the food.More

Bit annoyed upon arrival as after getting a cab for 30 minutes we discovered they were closed, that after checking tripadvisor so ignore the all day opening. Overall though the food was great and a nice feel to the place.

We had the vegetarian curry and the chicken curry with Jasmin rice and garlic naan, super yummy! Better than I have had in other cities. The service is very good too! This place deserves more customers.

The Hit Wicket is a bit difficult to find, in a small lower ground mall near the Shanghai Ferry Terminal. If you find yourself at the end of Gongping Road, facing the ferry terminal with steps going up to your left, you’ve gone a block...too far. Retrace your path and the mall is on your right. It’s well worth the effort - this was the best Indian food we’ve had in China and, based on our experience of travelling in India, seems authentic. Service was friendly and the food was reasonably priced; the saag paneer was particularly good. The draft Tiger beer was well kept. We would certainly go back here.More

Indian restaurant just north of the bund but he International Cruise Terminal. They have a full bar, they have all the sports events going and have great indian food. Not what you expect as a typical combination but great overall.

We stopped here for lunch and ordered Biryani, Garlic Naan and Saag Paneer. All were excellent by any standard - as good as the best we can find in the US. It was a welcome break from Chinese cuisine. The beer wasn't cheap but was...a nice alternative to Chinese brews. As mentioned before, it's located in the basement of a mall and is part sports bar and part restaurant. Highly recommend.More

I went to this restaurant on the claim that it's the best Indian restaurant in Shanghai or one of the best two or whatever. Taj Mahal restaurant in Pittsburgh is better, as are many other Indian restaurants I've been to outside (not to mention inside)...India. You won't be disappointed but you won't be thrilled.More

it is small restuarant in the basement of a building. the locations near by is very good near the river. but the building is very isolated. if you are alone you will feel lost. the taste of food is good. service is very very slow....no staff almost. you loose the charm of eating with such slow service. price is very high compare to other indian cuisines.More

our business partners in Shanghai booked this restaurant by chance. So around 12 people arrived without knowing what to expect. WELL, what a find, the food was absolutely wonderful and the service great and very inexpensive. we would recommend this restaurant to anyone. My colleague...Prakash Patel and I returned the next day by ourselves. I think that says it all.More
