Great pork bao, juicy and tasty. Simple place, you line up, you order and pay, sit down and get served. No frills, but you get what you came for and leave happy.

I had an amazing time at Jia Jia Tang Bao. I ordered the crab and pork dumplings, which were heavenly but had occasional bits of crab shell (that's the only reason this rating is a 4 and not 5; I wish 4.5 were an option!)....More

This restaurant is very small and extremely crowded. Soup dumplings are freshly made and steamed on the sport, hence the long queue. However, service is extremely efficient and the table turnaround is very fast. Due to the constant queue there isn’t time for patrons eat...More

Our last meal in Shanghai was the dumplings here. Was told their soup dumplings were among the best. Was surprised they werent as large in size as other places but the taste was delicious. We got their early and glad we did. The lines start...More

The last time I visited was 5 years ago. This time proves that this place has some renovation and has been scrubbed clean (relatively speaking). The ladies making the buns are openly visible to show us how fast they are in the process. This is...More

Small traditional xiaolongbao restaurant . The dumplings are very good. However the restaurant is small and often packed. Avoid pick hours. The staff is quite unfriendly too but I think the food is worth it.

Good dumpling with reasonable price. Soup with egg and seaweed is just right. Pity that seats are limited.

Good steamed dumplings at a very inexpensive price but not convinced the 30 min long wait time is worth it. Different varieties available...pork, shrimp, mixed, etc. Good photo op with crew making the dumplings behind a window. Line up is out the door starting at...More

Lots of people raved about this place but I was a little disappointed though. Place was quite small. You place your order and it will be made fresh on the spot. Prices were very reasonable but I have tasted much juicier dumplings elsewhere.

Foreign cards are usually no good in local restaurants. Do carry some cash with you if you intend to go 'local'. :)
