First time, not impressed.

First time visiting since becoming Zeke’s Landing. Love the old Wolf Bay restaurant that once was there but was not impressed by Zeke’s. Pros ~ lots of different areas to dine while watching the boaters. Had lobster sandwich which was very good but needed more meat for the cost. Cons ~ limited menu, some items overpriced, service slow with refills of drinks and ticket. Would we go back probably not. Lots of other choices of restaurants with more food choices, better food and service.

Beautiful New Restaurant

Stopped in on a cool Fall Friday for lunch. Seated right away. We chose to sit indoors as it was a bit breezy out on the patio. There were red roses on all the tables and the restaurant was just beautiful and clean. We ordered the snow crab boil with red potatoes and corn, it came in a spicy sauce that was delicious! One pound of snow crab, which was plenty, I couldn't eat it all. I would have loved some Gambino's bread to sop up the sauce! My husband ordered the Southern Fried Red Fish which came with slaw and french fries. He said it was ok, I'd suggest something other than your basic out of the bag fries though. He didn't eat them but brought them home. Love their eco friendly takeout boxes. Our server was friendly and checked on us often. We Will Be Back.

Perfect night

Went with friends for quick impromptu dinner, and were very impressed!!! The ambiance was warm and inviting and the decor was gorgeous. We sat at the bar and what a treat that was!! The bartender Jill gave impeccable service. She was warm and welcoming and engaging. Drinks were quickly served. She gave great recommendations on food and drinks. The bourbon selection is amazing, and she was able to point my husband to the perfect one for him—a limited edition one he hadn’t tried. She was also able to help us find safe gluten free options on the menu, even going back to talk to the chef to help ensure that there were no questionable ingredients. We had the beet salad, the wedge salad and the blackened Cobia. The Food was amazing, but the service pushed it over the top. So when you go, don’t hesitate to sit at the bar if Jill is working. She’s great.

Good and bad

The wife and I went by early one evening to check things out. She ordered a medium cooked fillet which was undercooked, but very good. I ordered a medium rare ribeye which turned out to be a flat iron steak which was over cooked. They stated that they reversed our temperatures requested on the steaks but had no explanation on how I got the flat iron steak by mistake. They offered to cook another steak for me but we really did not have the time. I am not sure exactly what we had for desert but it was excellent. Service was above average. This place really gets noisy once the crowd builds.

Don’t waste your time

We had the absolute worst server ever! The female bartender that was assigned our table was extremely rude and disengaged from her job. We left without having dinner last night because of her terrible attitude. The restaurant manager needs to know they lost about $300 that we would have spent.

My husband and I were looking for a nice meal in Orange Beach. My husband does not eat seafood, so he was expecting a really good hamburger after reading reviews. I ordered cornmeal fried fish with coleslaw and red potatoes. The food was below average, his hamburger was very greasy. I like cornmeal breaded fish, so I was looking forward to trying it. The fish had a very thick coating of cornmeal, overcooked, and no seasoning. The coleslaw tasted strong vinegary to me, but my husband liked it. The whipped red potatoes were good, which I substituted for french fries, and they upped charged me four dollars. The restaurant has a nice decor, unfortunately the first thing we noticed when we walked in the door is how loud it was. We went on a Wednesday early evening around four thirtyish and there weren’t many people and still so loud, must be the acoustics. On a positive note, we did have a very nice server and everyone was friendly. Too bad the food is it better.

A friend that lives here recommended this place and wow!!! It was great. Robbie our server was so knowledgeable about the menu and I actually tried seared salmon and loved it. Thank you Robbie for helping me get out of my comfort zone. It was amazing and you took such good care of us.

Would-be nice dinner RUINED

It was crowded, as expected, so we waited about 45 minutes for a table. The restaurant is beautiful. The marina is lovely. The menu is good, but not for picky eaters. The wedge salad was DIVINE. Service was good and food was excellent. However- we encountered a serious issue. Our teenage son has a nut allergy and seafood allergy. We told the waitress when we ordered our drinks. I was impressed because she asked before we could bring it up. He ordered the wagyu burger. 2 bites in he started feeling sick and his throat was irritated. I called the waitress and told her he was having a reaction. She seemed concerned, but denied the presence of nuts or seafood. He went to the bathroom and was sick. Fortunately, he didn’t get anaphylactic and we didn’t have to use his epipen. The waitress continued to tell us how they keep everything separate and started talking about possible cross contamination. I pulled the menu and noticed there was pesto listed on the burger. I told her pesto is made with pine nuts and she said, “oh not here, we make it in house with walnuts!” I was speechless. I get that we should have read the ingredients closer, but I trusted that she understood that a nut allergy would include walnuts. She was apologetic and didn’t charge us for his meal, but it was very scary and it ruined everyone’s evening because we had to go straight home and it’s awful to watch him struggle. We all felt so bad we couldn’t even enjoy our food. I was disappointed that a manager never came to speak to us. I would not recommend this restaurant for people with allergies.

Three visits in one week, WORLD CLASS RESTAURANT ON THE WATER!

My family and friends dined at Zeke’s this past week, once for dinner and twice for lunch. The food was excellent and service fast! In addition, Chef gladly altered my meal recipes due to my onion allergy. Twice our server was Jordan and she did an excellent job tending to our needs. Always showing up just when we needed something. Unfortunately, I forgot our servers name from the first visit; however, he was most attentive too. Can’t wait till our next visit to Orange Beach & Zeke’s. We still have lots of dishes to try!

A must visit !!

After a full day of deep sea fishing, my father-in-law decided to come here after several suggestions....we were not disappointed. Although it was initially a 30-minute wait to be seated, we were given the option to sit at the bar and we chose the one outside. The weather was perfect and the air was filled with live entertainment. Kudos to Rebecca who was our server, and I observed that she was a very efficient mixologist as she kept the libations going at the bar. I recommend the Southern Fish Fry, which is fried grouper with french fries and house slaw. This would be definitely on my list for a return visit.

We were seated outdoors and enjoyed the fabulous view of the marina. We started with the Crispy Veggies fried with a wonderful tempura batter and served with a spicy ranch sauce. We also enjoyed the delicious fried shrimp sammie and the steak sammie, both served with fries. Lina was our server and she was excellent and so very attentive. We enjoyed everything about this restaurant and will definitely return to Zeke’s!

Best food and service

I went there a few days ago with my brother. I had never been to this restaurant before. My brother recommended it and I was not disappointed! We had some of the best food and service around. I’ve been to a lot of restaurants in the surrounding area and they would be hard-pressed to compare to the food and service we got on this day. Our waitress was a girl name Sarah. Sarah M to be exact. I have never seen a person multitask as well as she does. And I am a stickler for making sure that my beverage stays topped off while I’m in a restaurant. I never had to ask her once for anything. She stayed on top of the game. I will definitely be back to this location!

Great Atmosphere & Food

We had our best meal in Orange Beach at Zekes while on Spring Break. We loved the location/setting and enjoyed our meal out on the patio overlooking the intercoastal. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive and offered suggestions on food and drink. My husband and I split the burger with crab on top of it and the grouper. They both were very delicious. We found this place our last night in OB. I wish we would have found it the first night as we would have returned for additional meals.

We had a fantastic experience from wait staff to food choices. Kathy was our waitress and was able to navigate the menu so we all were able to choose something different but try a great variety. Highly recommend

This place was recommended by our condo host as the place for crab legs. So we went for an early dinner at about 4:30pm. The place had just been remodeled and looked really nice. We got seated as soon as we got there we had the option to eat inside or outside but chose to eat inside because it was a little hot outside. Our waitress was very nice. My wife had the crab leg dinner and I had the fried snapper meal we both had water and I had a Mia Tia. Out total bill was about $70. The food was really good but the Mia Tia was horrible I started to say something to the waitress but she was the one who fixed it. As a restaurant they need to work on their Mia Tia recipe it was way to strong on the liquor and you couldn’t taste any of the sweetness of the drink. I would have given a 5 if drink was good .We would come again and recommend this place to others.
