Melaka at times seem to consist of nothing but food outlets and small hotels, so choices can be bewildering when looking for a good meal. Like all our Melaka tastings this came with a local recommendation from people whove lived and worked in the city for much of their lives. Amidst all the dinky/trendy in neighbouring streets looks a little... More

May not be the best that I had tasted but definitely better than the ones I had in KL. It may be a bit bland provided each mouthful goes with the chili sauce provided. Rather chewy as powder used for the batter is made from sweet potato instead of tapioca, as I was told by the lady. Don't expect it... More

I tried the oyster omelette for supper. It was RM8 for a 'small' portion. It was average, i wouldn't buy it again. The oyster was so small and minuscule, i think it would have been better if they added cockles instead. On a more positive note, the omelette is well-textured, with the right amount of starch added in it. The... More

From the street this place looked somewhat less than appealing, but we are delighted we took the risk! Local clientele in any restaurant always give us comfort - and we were not disappointed. We were served promptly and with a smile, which is always a good start. We ate fish, prawns, kangkong and noodles - we were very happy with... More

Don't be afraid to try out this place, the decor might look unsophisticated but the food quality is satisfactory. We came as a group of 9; 4 adults & 5 children. Tried out the soft shell crabs, sambal prawns (small prawns but fresh), Pork ribs in yam ring (2x) sambal/garlic kangkong, hor fun (full of wok hei), fried meesua, oyster... More

We read good reviews about this place. Were let down by the tiny oysters. The batter texture were yummy though. Now if only the oysters are way bigger, I would rate this very good.

We saw some good reviews on blogs about the or chien (fried oyster) here and went to look for it. We ordered a medium to share between two, and the portion was pretty generous. However, the taste was such a let-down. The oyster size was tiny, but it was fresh at least. There also weren't that many oysters with respect... More
