Had a couple of dinners there. Satay sauce make the food more appetizing and yummier, i suppose. However, this is not a meal for the faint hearted. So put aside your hygiene standard and dig in!

Satay Celup or satay sauce steamboat restaurants can be found in many parts of Malacca. You need to forget about hygiene when you dine in these places as the Satay sauce is reused and topped up in the same pot for the next customer. Please do not double dip! Each stick is RM1.10, making it so easy to grab dozens.... More

Very tasty satay sauce and food are fresh + a variety of choices. A must must to try and eat like locals when you are in Melaka. Each stick cost around RM 1+. Throw hygiene out of your mind and enjoy the food. You will love it. Staff are very prompt in their services. Missing it already!

Place is always crowded and have to wait for your table. The satay sauce is among the best in Malacca and they have a good variety of meats, vegetables and seafood on skewers. A favourite place for the locals to eat so it must doing right...

Good selection of chilled skewers (meat and seafood) in the 2 HUGE glass fronted chillers. Too many to describe. Grab yourself a tray, fill it up and dunk them into the pot of sauce to cook or reheat. Scoop some sauce into your own plate. NO DOUBLE DIPPING!! At the end of your meal, one of the staff will tally... More

Been there once n will not patronize this restaurant again. Pots of satay sauce kept boiling n reused by the next customers. Skewers of seafood, meat, meatballs, fishballs lay on wet n bloodied trays. If hygiene is your concern, give this a miss!!

We went with empty tummies but ended up finishing only 15 sticks of satay per person. Reasonable price (RM0.90 per stick) and a variety of choices of fresh and clean satay. The Satay Celup's paste can easily fill your stomach, take it slow and enjoy one by one, take your time. It's worth a try.

Been eating since young, tried another famous satay celup but still find ban lee siang the best. Service is fast too. Just that it is getting more pricey now - RM1 for a stick which I find quire expensive for the portion served. Avoid peak hours if you don't have the patience to wait for a seat. Plenty of seats...
