Great place to have a meal with friends and family. They serve good sea food. We tried their Sea Food Salad, Tuna Salad and Chicken Steak which were great.

The ambience is the only redeeming quality of this restaurant. However, the overall experience falls short due to several drawbacks: 1. Mediocre food quality. 2. Unprofessional staff behavior. 3. Rude customer service. 4. Service staff, Kanhai, expressed disdain for UPI payments, implying customers were unworthy....5. Surprisingly, they don't accept UPI payments, despite even vegetable vendors and 5-star hotels embracing the method. 6. Manager Kamal responds to requests with a dismissive smile. I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone. Visiting here is the only unpleasant moment for me for a 7 days long holiday in Goa.More

Had to wait for 45 minutes for a table. And another hour for some one to attend our table. The food came in installments. Two portions of rawa fried fish was ordered, one was served after 35 minutes and the other one followed half an...hour later. The rest of the meal was served ten minutes after that. So in all it took them more than an hour to serve our entire lunch. Not counting the wait period. When we asked for onion and lime. We were told by our server, Damodar, that they don't serve onion and lime with fish curry. But, what about it being served with the vegetable Xacuti and egg curry. Totally disappointed. The place is over hyped and I feel that there are better places in GOA than this.More

Seeing the people queuing up to be seated decided to have a meal there. Went at around 1pm and got a seat without much of waiting. We had garlic butter mushroom and peri peri prawns for starters....both were good. For main course we had thali...and fish raechad . Thali is overrated. Fish was good and of decent proportion. King fish rawa fry was also perfect. Sadly for dessert they didn't have serradura...and we had to settle with blueberry cheesecake...which was okay. Overall the restaurant is jam-packed ( with many more waiting to be seated), lacks the lazy ambience needed to enjoy goa and food is good but not extraordinary.More

Worst place to have any kind of food. 1) It's terribly loaded with people full of ego and bad attitude. 2) It took me 3 hours have dinner with my friend started at 9pm ended at 12am. 3) Waiters just know what they are supposed...to do. 4) The person at reception who takes down our names in case of wait time had horrible attitude Overall Goa is a bad experience for the hype that has got created and for the price they charge to a customer like.me.More

Travel without local food , is injurious to fulfilment of tour. And Goa is famous for its cuisine, made up of Cokum and coconut with fresh sea products, crab, squid , and variety of sea fishes. The restaurant Fat Fish was suggested to us by...the driver of our taxi when we asked him where good Goan Non-Veg food was available. It is near Baga and was not far from our hotel. The restaurant opens at around 12 noon. We reached around 12.30 pm for lunch. We were lucky to grab the last table. The huge dining hall was already full to the brim. We were amazed to see that there was continuous inflow of eaters. A big bodied person had to stand at the entrance as a door stopper to control the ever increasing crowd. Then we saw that a lady came out with a pad to note down the names serially. The Jam packed hall was live with hungry crowd, Goan song and aroma of food around, mixed with sultry smell of live fish. We placed the order for our lunch and waited patiently for it to arrive. The statement of the house is very clear, at least half an hour waiting period, after placement of order. We found that it was justified, because each and every dish needed individual preparation time and process, which is desirable. The Menu card was a unique one, it serially listed the names of the items. But we found it difficult to understand the names. You can see the same in the Photo of a page I am presenting here. But the waiter was good and he translated the names to us. We ordered Goan Seafood thali, and he explained the meaning of every dish. Menu card does not contain the rate of each and every item, like lobsters. A fresh live piece is brought from the aquarium and cooked when ordered and the rate of the dish depends on the size of it. The food was extremely tasty and each item had a unique taste…it was worth the waiting time for the food to arrive. Foods we enjoyed no doubt, but sitting there for an hour in a crampy hall with noise of people talking, over and above the loud music makes the taste of the food pale .More

We visited twice in 2 days. One night for dinner and next day for lunch. That would make it clear how much we enjoyed the food. On both occasions there was a waiting queue, but we got our table in 10 minutes. Over the 2 meals...we had Tandoori Prawns, Rawa fried fish ,Prawn curry rice and biryani. All items were very good and the service was prompt with smile.More

Someone recommended this place for authentic goan veg unknown to the fact that I was vegetarian, but I must say. the staff and service were exceptionally good. The person who waited our table helped us through the menu and suggested us some excellent xacuti and...good accompaniments. A highly recommended restaurant for people who want to try authentic Goan cuisine.More
