A couple met us as we walked into Fatfish. The man said he had been a Britto's fan all his life, but he felt this guy had beaten Britto's hollow ever since he had eaten at fat fish. We agree with him. The food was...excellent. The portions were large, and the prices mid-range as we ran up a bill of almost 1800 without drinks though we got virtually a single meal packed as we could not finish the portions. This meal could easily have served three. ask for the Goan chicken thali or Goan fish thali and you will not be disappointed. The service matches the quality.More

Fat Fish Goa menu includes dishes from Goan Portuguese, Continental, Hindu Saraswat, Konkan, North Indian with Tandoor & Italian cuisines. They even have burgers & pizzas on their menu. Right from oysters, squids clams, shrimps, lobsters, pomfret, king fish, Fat Fish serves all kinds of...seafood, perfectly aligning good food with heartwarming culture, and pleasant weather. Fat Fish Restaurant Arpora Goa offers an extensive choice of Goan Portuguese & Hindu Saraswat including a Goan Fish Thali dishes in a sprawling precinct located on Calangute-Arpora Road in Bardez North Goa. I realised Fat Fish is a very popular bar & restaurant with local families as well as tourists during my visit. Apart from the music, the bar and restaurant offers the match of the day to enjoy with the catch of the day to eat. In fact, their bar counter looks good & works perfectly to watch an evening football or cricket match with mates over drinks.More

Had ordered grilled fish goan bread and chicken pizza. Fish was for 2k excellent preparation no problem. Pizza that came was very very salty. I complained and Mr Maity the manager told I should have told this on the first bite and not on the...third, all on individual taste buds etc. etc.. This made me angry. Anyway I apologized and said I will write a review. So Mr Dominic who was also there said if I write review they will not give replacement. I was fine with not taking replacement and still wanted to put review as I personally feel this was not an acceptable behavior from restaurant management side. Fat Fish is a renowned restaurant in North Goa and they don't care about one individual customer. However, I as individual felt very bad after having good food at the restaurant. Just want to keep all informed of the situation. I may have reacted differently. Suggestions please.More

Good food, right price, Little slow service but overall a great dining experience. We liked it so much that we went there even the second time. Food portions are big, so be careful when ordering. 2 Fish Thalis can be easily shared by 3 people...and the same goes for Indian dishes. Their Greek salad, Fish thali, Prawn curry rice, Dal Makhani, Palak Aloo, Pizza, Tofu brown rice are the best but their Serradura is to die for.More

The food was good, however nothing spectacular. We got the prawns rechado for starters. That was pretty good. For the main course we got the prawn curry rice, chicken cafreal and some pois. The prawn curry rice was strictly average, and the chicken was fine....Don’t get me wrong, the food is good. But if you were looking for the ultimatum Goan food experience then this ain’t it.More

On our very first day in Goa, we stopped at Fat Fish for a very late lunch around 4 in the afternoon as we were travelling by car from Bengaluru. We were hoping to try out their thali as it is very famous for but...unfortunately we could not as it was not available post 3:30 PM. So we decided to sulk for a while and order what we thought was the next set of best options for us. We had the following while we were at Fat Fish. For starters we had the King Fish Tawa Fry, the masala was spot on, the fish was really well cooked and the quantity was decent as well. It is served with potato wedges and some salad as well. For the main course we had two dishes which were based on Prawns. First was the Prawns Curry Rice, the curry was authentic Goan style, with the perfect blend of spices and decent amount of prawns as well. The white steam rice was cooked well and it was sufficient for two people. We ended the main course with Prawns Biryani which had to be one of the best biryanis in Goa during our trip. The spicy masala, the well cooked rice, the perfection in the prawns and the quantity all in all was just excellent. You have to try this out when you are at Fat Fish. The Lychee Likey is a mocktail based on Lychee and it was super refreshing as well. This was surprisingly a really good drink. Planter’s Punch is a rum based cocktail and it was served in a big glass and was made to perfection as well. Cocktails in Goa generally cost a lot and it is always better to spend on regular drinks than trying out fancy cocktails if you don’t want to weigh a lot on your expenses. There is ample parking space available at Fat Fish and the place can be pretty occupied most of the time. The staff is friendly, the washroom is clean, the service is pretty fast, and the ambiance is amazing. You can find them at H/4/267/D, Ward 4, Agar Vaddo, Baga, Goa. Budget Corner Kingfish Tawa Fry – 580 INR Prawns Curry Rice – 550 INR Prawns Biryani – 500 INR Lychee Likey – 300 INR Bira White Pint – 180 INR Planter’s Punch – 350 INR Average cost for two people would be 2,500 – 3,000 INR inclusive of alcohol.More

Big restaurant with poor service. Staff is very curt and not helpful. They are biased towards foreigners which is petty and disgraceful. Also expect long wait time at your table and serving staff takes time to come for order. We waited for more than 15...mins before asking for one server for help (he did not care to help as we were not seated on table allocated to him). Finally our order was taken after waiting for 25 minutes. Food took another 20 + minutes to come. Food quality was average. We ordered the following. 1. Roast Chicken Salad - it was too salty and had excess pepper with stale lettuce. 2. Kingfish Tava Fry - very spicy 3. Roast Pork - was fine 4. Fish Tikka - was over cooked and burnt 5. Chicken stake in mushroom sauce - was fine (mashed potato were again too salty) 6. Pizza Pollo - was fine (crust was really well cooked and crisp) and the only food item we enjoyed in the whole order. Over all a Poor experience ( in both food and service)More
