We went to the Beach Shack on the beach just 5 minutes walk along the beach from the TAJ Exotica Resort. Good local food and drink - sensibly priced and very affordable - always seems busy with tourists and some locals. Fantastic place to watch the sunset - with drinks and then food.

Do try and visit this beach shack, it has amazing seafood - we had two large Lobster Thermidors with veg and chips for £13 each. A great variety of food from Goan, Indian, Oriental and Italian plus more. The soups were delicious. Dilip, Carlos and Atal are so helpful and friendly. Bottled beers are £1 a large bottle and 50p small. This beach shack is right on the beach, you can here the waves, it’s very safe to walk along.

Whatever you do, if you’re staying at the Taj Exotica or somewhere else local, don’t miss this great little beach shack. It’s become our local since we’ve been here and the food and service beat anything else hands down. We had the most amazing fresh fish tandoori style last night with lots of drinks to accompany and it was less than half the price of the same dish at the Lobster shack and twice the size too.
Special thanks to Atul and Dilip who made sure we were treated like special friends each time we visited!

JoeCons Shack at Benaulim beach never failed to amaze us on every occasion we visited since 2018.It is an extension of JoeCons Resort Benaulim and is owned by the very affable Mr Josman.
Our decision to celebrate our 24 th Anniversary at JoeCons Shack was coloured with a bit of apprehension as our guests numbered close to 36 with a mix of vegetarians as well as non vegetarians as also many non drinkers and small kids .
But the final hugely positive outcome of the event further validated our belief the Joe Cons Shack ,Benaulim is a top notch joint in South Goa .
The Manager of this restaurant is the efficient Mr Khan who understood my brief and took his time to come back with a detailed plan of the arrangements as well as a menu which would cater to a variety of taste buds Most of my request to tweak the menu and drinks to be served were complied .
As my guests started descending to the venue before sunset they were very pleasantly surprised by the location ,ambience as well as the seating arrangements .
The mouth watering delicacies being dished out by the very thoughtfully placed Chat corner had my guests relishing the Pani Puri ,Dahi Puri , Papri chaat and some more .
As the evening progressed we were further amazed by the care and speed of service which the efficient team of the restaurant exhibited while acceding to our requests.A special mention goes out to Mr Ashok who led this team ably supported by Mr Selvito , Mr Alvito, Mr Carlos , Mr Velroy ,Mr Gautam and Mr Pratik .
The starters and the main course was yummilcious .
A big thank you to Joe Cons and it's team . We' pl be with you soon .

We ate here a few times including a couple of lunches. Food was very good on all occasions, a slight improvement on last year. Although there was a wait after ordering this we found relaxing and reflecting the food was cooked fresh. The shack itself was better 'decorated' than last year. There were ample staff but it appeared that the young waiter in the white shirt was doing most of the work, others were happy to take orders and bring drinks but most of the serving of meals was carried out by the young waiter! There is entertainment 3 nights a week.

This beach shack which is part of the Hotel Joecons about 10 mins walk away. It used to be one the best but now the service is not good ( apart from if you are one of their favourites) they have at least six waiters but they just congregate around the bar. The 3 times we ate there a part of 4 the meals all came at differing times as did the drinks. When you ask they either ignore you or say “yes it’s coming” well so is Christmas. 3 of us had finished our drinks before the 4 had her drink some 35 mins later. Try any other beach shack and you will notice the difference. Toilets I will leave for you to find out.Best is Sun and Moon for service, quality and toilets

Visited for lunch with friends, and enjoyed our ocean side table. We chose to stay indoors - it was very humid, although Goa is always warm. Most locals does'nt swim in the ocean coz they get tan. This was our 4th visit to Joecons Beach shack and The prices are so reasonable that we like to go here every month, I just want to say that, in addition to a nice meal, we had a delightful waiter's, HANUMAN, Praful, Clavon & Carlos. they had just the right balance of friendliness and efficiency. They recognized that we wanted time to visit and did not rush us. Other staff members made certain that we had everything we needed. Kudos!

We went to this shack on 26 & 27 Dec 20 for dinner. The ambience and live music is very attractive. We could see lot of tourists over there, so assumed it to be good. However, on both the days, the service was just pathetic. On first day, we ignored it thinking about the crowd and also the food came in 45 mins after the first order and for second order for additional chapati, the steward himself didn't bother to take order. Finally we paid the bill and came.
We again went on 27th for dinner as we were near to the shack. This was a big mistake. Not much of the crowd and again service was just too bad. Starters were served with the food after 1 hour. The steward keep saying it's coming. When we started to get up to go, finally food came and that was cold too. We asked him to call manger or owner, they said that they are away in their other restaurant. In absence of manager/owner, the staff completely messed up. We could see other patrons also fuming and shouting.
Better to avoid this shack. The SP shack next to it is much better in terms of services and food.

Joecons beach shack is a lovely place to visit both for lunch or for evening meal. It is always busy which is a testament to its service. Praful Kumar, Hanumant, Krishna and Dhilip are such a friendly bunch who always serve you with a smile. Young Maurice who is a trainee is picking up the tricks of the trade very well.
As far as the menu is concerned, it is quite varied with a lot to choose and reasonably priced. It is prepared very fresh. In the evenings there is live music which just improves the ambience. A fab beach shach worth a visit

We visited Joecons for lunch. We were really hungry and ended up ordering the loose calamari (x3)(the best dish we tried), the chorizo(x2) which the chef adapted to our taste on our request, the beef cafreal, the prawn balchao and the chilli garlic noodles, made by chef Vivek, all of which were EXCELLENT. The staff constantly checked in on us and made sure that we were comfortable. We got the best service from Dilip, our waiter and Sameer, who made really good shisha and kept the coal hot! We planned on leaving after lunch but ended up staying till 12am instead because Franco, the manager informed us there was live music in the evening and asked if we'd like to stay. He then made us custom cocktails, which was definitely another reason for us to stay longer! I highly recommend trying the Cucumbeach, an excellent gin based cocktail, with elderflower, cucumber and chilli (that was made specially for us). The ambience, music and location (right on beach) of Joecons beach shack creates the perfect atmosphere where you can relax for hours. Add to this the wonderful hospitality at the shack and you've got yourself a must visit place in Goa.

We chanced upon this place , just taking a serious walk on the benaulim beach ..going pat trinity beach . having heard a lot about it’s pedigree food ,we gave it a shot, though it looked deserted thanks to the exodus of tourists after the new year & the surge in covid cases .
We tried the Crab meat soup ,fish fingers and fish curry rice - and all dishes had an amazing taste and were wel presented .one of the best meals at benaulim .
On our last night in Goa ,we again walked 20 min to joecons and had a wonderful dinner to a good selection of music and a saxophonist playing being a Sunday . This time a larger crowd was seen .
we had the crab meat soup again and it was as good .. enjoyable because it was pretty cold , we tried the loose calamari starter , which was spicy but finger licking good ; the fish rawa fry was good too , and the finale was beef steak with pepper sauce , which was excellent . We thoroughly enjoyed this mea too .
Joecons is really a fine dining restaurant with a varied menu , but disguised as a beach shack ! Worth the price for ambience and the quality of freshly prepared food . The manager was really nice too .
Will be back soon !

Recently returned from another wonderful holiday in Goa and yet again frequented Joe Cons Beach Shack every day. The location is superb, the food amazing but the most impressive aspect of the shack is the staff. Kumar, Krishna, Dilip and all the staff provide the best dining experience in the area. The focused menu offers mostly local specialities that are cooked to perfection. Joe Cons also provides the freshest and most delicious sea food I’ve ever tasted. Can’t wait to go back

Thanks Joecons for the great vibes and providing a chilled hangout spot.
Special thanks to Joefan and Chef Sanjay. Must try is chicken cafreal with thandorii roti. Rotis are really tasty and delicious, in fact my 2 year kid also loved it.
Also try out their Fish Rava Fry.
One thing to call out is they were really helpful and making sure our needs are fulfilled and ready to make changes to the dishes according to our taste buds.
It was time worth spent and we ended up visiting again .

Went with family for lunch today around 1:15 pm, the waiter told us it’s closing at 2:00 pm so having a family lunch looked difficult for us. We were disappointed but thought we could still book for dinner. On asking about reservations another waiter jumped in to say minimum bill should be 10,000 else they won’t take a booking.
Extremely disappointed at such rude behaviour on just a query. We are a family of four and take a yearly trip to Goa. Joecon’s has been a favoured joint for us, and we’ve had many meals in previous years. Now, I understand that it’s not about the quality of food or customer experience anymore, and only about the profit that the restaurant makes.

Excellent Shack!!! Excellent vibes and most importantly the hospitality!! The captain Praful has been extremely sweet and most importantly tries to understand ur taste and preferences and suggest dish accordingly . We thoroughly enjoyed our time. The bartender Alok made the Gimlet even better than what we hd tasted in our college even though it was not their menu!! One suggestion - A MUST VISIT and meet these lovely and always smiling people 😁
