Horrible service. We were given a tapas tasting menu (We can choose 6 items). Couldn't see 6 veg options and the waiter confirmed the same. We placed an order for 1 tasting tapas platter (We chose 4 veg and 2 non veg), after 2 mins...the waiter comes and tells us we have to place an order for 2 tasting platter (1 per person). When we told him that 1 of us is a vegetarian and he told us there are 4 vegetarian options, he just stood there blank. We decided to leave and asked to speak to a manager, to give feedback. We were told there was no manager and we could leave. 1. Why take the order in the first place? 2. Why not just accomodate the request and take order for 1 tasting platter (since YOU already took the order)? 3. No one to talk to about the issue. 4. Literally asked to just leave. Good luck to this place with their arrogance (*).More

A charming boutique restaurant offering an extensive menu, including both tapas and major dishes to choose from. The staff is really welcoming, and they cater the experience to your tastes and preferences in a very personal way.

A short walk from our hotel - Taj Exotica - and a warm welcome from enthusiastic staff. Menu options explained thoroughly and we enjoyed one delicious course after another. A wonderful experience and a memorable evening.

Really authentic local cuisine and the chef was very much involved to ensure we as a family had a great time. I highly recommend this place in South Goa. Good food & cocktails. Amazing presentation!

One of the best restaurants I have ever been in and I have been in a lot around the world. What an absolute hidden gem. I am grateful to the person who showed me this beauty. We went in for dinner after booking and the...place was buzzing. It’s sold out everyday so book in advance. The food was fabulous and drinks were very good. The place is very economical. I would be glad to pay twice the money I paid. The chef Avinash who had a chat with us is a super friendly guy and has absolute No airs about him. He is a genius to be delivering this good and so is his team. He is a name to watch out for and he is going to make his fame and fortunes I can see. The chicken cafareal in the nest was mind blowing and the steak was phenomenal. Just perfect. Can’t wait to be back.More

Goan Local food at Cavatina Benaulim,Goa. Are you one of them who has evolved from fine dining food to experience based local food? If Yes Cavatina is the place you must visit. Why Cavatina? Well many reasons atleast for me it gave me an experience...of my childhood food. Modern yet local and traditional.    Every dish is rooted to history and tradition including the local drink urak! The ingredients and produce used to make the dishes are sourced locally from local fishermen and farmers. Every dish has a story. We wanted to taste as much as we could from the menu and hence settled for  chefs tasting menu. The pav and poder both hold a very important place in the goan food scene. And I am glad I could experience poder poder ponk ponk the dish that serves pav, day before left over curry ( it's a delicacy) and salsa to add tang to the dish. The bisque was a delicate crab xec xec with tender crab meet to bite into. The flavour was  subtle and delicate. Local inspired spanakopita was a beautiful mix of thamdi bajji ( red amaranth) cashew butter in delicate phyllo sheet. This beautiful piece of food art was served on a old roof tile. The rice pancake stiffed with prawn masala was a bite into burst of Goan flavour. Betul has the best rock crabs that were used to make Kulli ( crab) cutlets with canacona chilli served on a bed of  avocado chili mole. The mole has a awesome native pickle flavour. The chicken cafreal served with quail eggs on a nest of potato crispy is a beautiful tribute to the most famous goan dish cafreal! Hay smoked mackerel served on toasted bread and topped with salted raw mango took me back to my school days. Patra de Goa has delicate seabass wrapped  with green masala in a banana leaf the in-house mashed pumpkin  cashew and red amaranth adds colour and flavour to the dish. The Red boiled rice with the prawn gravy served with a splash of burnt feni is every  goans dream come true! Everything good has to have a sweet ending and oh my gaud! Literally this cheese cake that is made using gaud ( jaggery)  had that amazing smoked flavour of jaggery and every thing nice! The raw honey flan had the perfect sweetness, flavour and texture! The in-house made salted caramel icecream was nothing that I have had before! Goan food and flavours made using only local produce. Dining at Cavatina means getting a true Goan experience with loads of food history and stories! Chef Avinash is holding on to his roots and giving goans and tourist who are visiting Goa a true Goan experience.More

We dined at Cavatina during our stay in Benaulim in 2020. So having just returned we decided to spend our Valentine evening there as we had previously enjoyed our experience there. What a brilliant experience we had. We found it very difficult to decide what...to choose from the extensive menu. However, we went for Fish Cakes and Prawn Cigars to start and Stuffed Chicken and Belly Pork for main course. The food was exquisite, perfectly presented and expertly served by the attentive waiters. All washed down with ice cold Sauvignon Blanc. We are not generally keen on desert but we went for the special Valentine Desert devised by Tiz and this was amazing! Hats off to head Chef and owner Avinash, Tiz and their wonderful staff for such a great dining experience on a special night. Brilliant food at very reasonable prices! We have booked again for our final night in Benaulim!More
