Hidden gem

We are staying in Benaulim, so this little joy of a restaurant isn’t far away. So far we have eaten at Cavatinas twice! The food is phenomenal and presented in such a beautiful way. Obviously a very talented chef. A must visit. Best to book...in advance.More

Celebration of the best and most innovative of Goan cuisine

We had the most fantastic meal at Cavatina. It felt like eating a fine dining meal that celebrates local Goan cuisine yet in a relaxed warm atmosphere so typical of Goa. Service was excellent - we mentioned we had an egg and peanut allergy in...our group which they took seriously. The menu is so innovative yet at the same time honours local Goan delicacies. For instance, they served Sannas (a Goan steamed rice cake) which we had not seen anywhere else. There were so many dishes that were original or modern versions of classics. Loved their Cafreal appetiser. Vegetarian dishes are a triumph- a heady savoury mushroom dish with rice was another star. I had the fish as main course which had the most gorgeous banana leaf wrapped steamed fish with a fish curry and the tastiest Pumpkin mash. The team executed all the dishes perfectly and chef Avinash Martins who created them is a genius for his vision and showcasing Goan cuisine at its finest. This restaurant was better than all the 5 star hotel restaurants we had eaten at and is deserving of a Michelin star. This is a must visit restaurant if you are in Goa - I wish we could have returned to explore the full menu!More

Brilliant restaurant. Must try

Lovely find. Local restaurant where the chef is talented and presents food in imaginative ways. We enjoyed a delicious meal in a lively friendly atmosphere.

So good we went twice!

It was a gastronomical Goan experience with a lovely fusion between Indian and European dishes. Each one we sampled was truly divine. Our waiters were very knowledgeable and helpful with selecting our dishes.

very good food

The food is excellent and they accommodated us although we did not have a reservation. We have been a few times over the years and the food and service is excellent.

Amazing food,

Loved the flavours

Kudos to the chef for putting together some amazing dishes. The whole experience from plating to service to the explosion of flavours will make me go back for more next time we are in Goa . Be prepared for preparations out of the ordinary.

A culinary jewel in south Goa

Tucked away in Benaulim, CC serves authentic Goan cusine which took me back to my grandmother's cooking. The ambience and decor add to the wonderful experience.

IF you have to pick ONE restaurant to go to in Goa, then this is your go to place

Goa has been an absolutely fabulous gastronomic experience. Every meal we had has been superb but nothing to beat Cavatina which we did on our last day in Goa. This was Goan food re-imagined by award winning chef and now friend Avinash Martins. The presentation,...the service and the food was just outstanding and each dish presented had a story re-linking it to Goa and adding a modern twist. A NOT to be missed experience and totally worth a visit when in Goa.More

Outstanding

Outstanding from the cocktails, mocktails for the kids, to the amazing food. The wine list was excellent too. The skill of the cooking was quite incredible. A real treat.

Great food and service. Highly recommend

Great good. Dishes cooked and presented to perfection. The cab bisque is excellent as are the bass and the salmon dishes. We went four times and was brilliant every time.

It’s a must!

So pleased we chose to dine here. One of a kind in the area. We had a wonderful meal. Food, staff, ambience and comfort were all perfect. We highly recommend you choosing this restaurant if you like good quality food.

Mesmerizing

Before I went to Goa, I was unaware of the food scene in Goa, and Cavatina was over the top. I'd rank the food presentation and taste as being on par with Michelin star restaurants. We were five friends and we all ordered the five...course tasting menu. Everything was literally bite sized, but the desserts were opulent and substantial. So we left there feeling pretty full and satisfied. Would recommend this place in a heartbeat.More

Fabulous restaurant

The reviews we read before eating here were not exaggerated, the restaurant is welcoming and the food is creative, beautifully presented and completely delicious.. We enjoyed it so much we went back 2 nights later and had the tasting menu which was amazing and excellent...value for moneyMore

What are the vegetarian options

There are several starters and main courses that are vegetarian I had a vegetarian starter that was tempura fried veg and in a seasoned sauce it was very good
