Been here a couple of times this week to buy bread which is just delicious. Apple pie that hubby had yesterday was pretty goid too. Seems really popular for coffee and breakfast and the young guys that run it are super nice. Worth a visit.
The day we arrived, we went to stock up at the nearby supermark and also got some cakes from the German Bakery. We enjoyed them so much, we decided to return a few days later for sit-down coffee and cake German style.
We ordered cappuccinos...which were the real thing, made with proper coffee from an espresso machine. We had the excellent apple crumble cake, a nice moist banana cake, and a crunchy coconut biscuit. We returned later whilst waiting for alterations to be done by a nearby tailor. Being lunchtime, I plumped for a great brown roll generously filled with avocado, tomatoes and egg - delicious. My partner enjoyed a vegetable and cream cheese sandwich, also very good as made with brown bread and what seemed to be proper imported cream cheese. Lassi and juice was also good.
There are quite a few German bakeries in Goa, and none of them is anything like a bakery/patisserie in Germany, but this place does lovely breads and cakes of almost German taste and quality. It is run my a very kind and hospitable Nepalese family, and prices are moderate. A must if you like good coffee and a delicious slice of cake! The only drawback is that there are only a few tables, and it can get busy, so you might not find a place to sit.More
I really don’t get why this place so popular ... you hug a tiny piece of floor space or pavement if you are really unlucky .... on a major crossroads where bikes taxis cars all stopping, starting fumigating the tiny space visiting the next door...supermarket or veg store
the coffee is ok cakes ok and service ok but so many staff also crowded into a tiny little space they don’t really seem to serve very efficiently! one or two less staff might make all a bit smother
Still it is super popular and seems to be the place to be seen ....who knows life is a mystery and thankfully I’ve found several much nicer alternatives than exhaust fumes with my caffeine and croissant !!More
Doctors say that if you skip
breakfast, your chances of a heart
attack increase by 33%.
I am no doctor. But hearing that
once was enough. From now, I eat
in the morning.
Most of Asia skimps on breakfast.
They have only tea, dosa and...rice.
This is unhealthy.
This cafe is different. They
porridge and excellent omelettes.
They sell a wide variety of coffees,
salads and sandwiches. Please try
the yak cheese salad.
They open early, at 7:30 AM.
With visitors from everywhere
in an international cafe, this is the
