The curries are amazing, but one of my favourite meals was prawn and squid in garlic butter, beautiful all cooked fresh to order and very plentiful, so if your not a big eater share like we did, Enjoy!!
This is as the title says quite literally across the road. We were told by a local that this was a good place to eat & we were not disappointed. It's also popular with the many expats who reside for the winter in this area...of Goa. The staff are great & the food they serve is even better. If you're a tandoori fan then give it a try you'll not be disappointed in saying that other dishes we had during our stay we all of the same quality, excellent.More
On our first night we frantically searched for places to eat online and found that Uncle's Kitchen had good reviews and it was opposite our hotel. We ordered the butter chicken and aloo palak at first and the food was really well cooked, particularly the...meat so we kept coming back for more as we knew we could trust the restaurant!
The guys remembered everyone's favourite drink order and we had chilled beers on arrival every time we turned up. We made our way through the menu over our holiday and never got bored or had a bad experience. One night we were going to order the Ravas masala but the waiter told us that it wasn't the best a recommended the kingfish masala instead which was nice! I particularly enjoyed the Dal fry and the veg pakoda (onion bhajis to you and me) as well as the garlic bread.
Don't let the exterior fool you! There's good food and great people inside!More
During our stay in Calengute this little restaurant became our go to place whether for lunch or evening meal. Don’t be put off by appearances as it is on the roadside. The food was really good and always piping hot. Beware though the portions are...very generous. Amazing chilli, ginger and garlic naan. Great value for money and the staff were so lovely and helpful. When we were chatting to others in different bars/restaurants or overhearing conversations about where to eat, Uncles came up time and time again. We will return.More
This is also a place to sit outside and watch the world go by the staff are very good and the food is good the bar prices are excellent. It's not the most inviting from outside but it's well worth a visit, quite a lot...of domestic tourist use it so that speaks for it's self.More
