I make no excuses--I love Southern Bar-B-Q. With all our travels, I've had the chance to try a lot of different places. Gibson's was great! Very fine food and they give you a LOT of it! Love bar-b-q? You need to try this place.

My husband always has to eat at Gibsons - ever since he was in high school over 50 years ago. He had bar-b-cue chicken and I had Brunswick stew for lunch.
Maybe it suffered from my high expectations. Our food was good, but nothing special as far as BBQ goes. I will say this. The hushpuppies were awesome! The ice tea is really tasty.
Good old-fashioned fried catfish, moist flavorful barbecue, and home-made meringue covered pies are the must haves. They do a great breakfast as well. A great alternative to the chain restaurants. Service is fast & friendly.
