Good food but we waited forever for drinks, bread, food, etc. had the grouper and it was decent. Nice staff but the waiting was too much

An explosion of flavor from the appetizers through dessert. Friendly warm staff greet you and are attentive while not overbearing. Best overall meal we have had in a long time...worth every penny. Fried avocado appetizer with a panko crust was fantastic. Every choice had a unique flavor.

We visited Tamara’s for lunch on a Fall Saturday. It’s a charming restaurant in downtown Fairhope, casual but comfortable, with both a bar and main seating area. Its menu offers a large variety of options that should please most anyone. Our server was both efficient and very knowledgeable about the menu. I chose the gumbo for starters, and it was... More

We had a large group and stumbled onto this restaurant because our original choice was closed. They were very accommodating, had a great environment with uniquely hung art, a delicious wince selection and frat food. I got the seared scallops which were amazingly done! They were fast with service, accurate on both food and bills splits, and very friendly.

Delightful! We had the Reuben egg roll, crab soup, gumbo, escargot, crab cakes, and salmon. It was all out of this world. Even the side veggies were so good I chose a last bite of those! Sandra was a fabulous server. Definitely coming back when next I'm in Fairhope.

The only thing one can say about the food is they serve large portions. If that makes you happy, this place will suffice. Tamara's Downtown is over-priced; mediocre food is served... eventually. Too many other great options in Fairhope.

So haven't been back to Fairhope in several years and had never eaten at Tamara's Downtown. Came in around 6pm on Sunday night. No problem getting seated. Our server Ivan was very prompt and attentive throughout the meal. Started with the Avocado Fries. Very unique and flavorful. Bread was also provided and was nice and warm. However, it was not... Stopped by for lunch on Friday around 12:15. It wasn't crowded but when we left it was. I had the cheesy shrimp and grits with Conecuh sausage and bacon gravy. The lunch portion was very large. My husband had panko crusted catfish over cheese grits. He also has a cup of gumbo and we had baked Brie. Can you say... More

We saw the rating on Trip Advisor and I totally agree with the high ratings. We ate here for lunch. Very comfortable atmosphere and such friendly staff! They helped narrow down the menu because everything looked good. We started with the artichoke dip and the pita wedges which are addictive! It's a must have! The shrimp and grits were so... More
