Had heard a lot about this place. Especially on people's insta stories. The Cafe is definitely insta worthy but food is average. Honestly, I expected the food o be better because of the hype. Overall, was an okayish experience. I ordered a chicken steak and a barbecue chicken pizza.

Staff have attitude problem in cratering to customers need. I have asked for a hand made coffee and not machine made as the frawth is more than the coffee. But I was refused. My son had Oreo Shake.

It's a beautiful cosy place for a warm coffee evening. The Chicken Steak sizzler is quite decent. The Kitkat shake was humongous, it was tasty but I feel it would be better if they do away with the frosting. The coffee was good, but their only problem is, they mess up the order. In our last visit , we ordered pizza, they got us sandwich. This recent visit, we asked for coffee to be served later, they got everything at the same time. Other than that, it's quite nice. The decor is quite pleasant.
Update: They've really improved on their over-all presentation, the food, the ambience, the decor. Hence rating revised from 4 to 5!! The outdoor seating is perfect for people who prefer to smoke. Kudo's!!

Hi,All..it's not unbelievable, Yes I ordered from blue mug a BBQ pizza via Zomato trust me it was totally burnt from all its edges. This shows they might keep on pre heating foods. Guys ambience cost all are secondary make sure you are not having stale food specially during pandemic time. So the food served at blue mug though it may attract several customers but you don't know for how many times it's getting preheated.

Yes the coffee is decent (not amazing) and yes the service and ambiance are nice but the 'Fattouch Salad' served had only one ingredient of more than a dozen ingredients a Fattouch Salad should have (this is a Lebanese Salad and I was surprised to see it on the menu but it tasted nothing like any Fattouch Salad I ever had before).
I would give it 3.5 stars but as that is impossible I suffice by giving it 3 stars (I speculate that the rave reviews are because the prices are slightly cheaper than similar establishments but I prefer to pay a few rupees more and get better quality).

This place is a great place for ppl who. Love the coffee shop ambience. With a minimal decor, it hss glass bottles and kettles converted into lamps, with a piano in the side one can enjoy the wide spread menu which is very reasonably priced...

There is something in the combination of the name, the signage and the ambience. Couldn't resist. So my friend and I walked in. Everyone around me remained immersed in their intense conversation. I noticed few were looking at their mobile screens. So obviously the conversations and company were more engaging. But there was something more to it. The menu had some interesting twists.Orange Mojito caught my eyes and my friend went for a standard latte. Waiting to be served, my eyes roved to the corner and I could see a guitar of some vintage and unknown lineage. Should I or not? I let it go. But the invitation was always there. Thats really what it is. Very inviting place for hanging out. In the staid environs of Jodhpur Park, a left behind locale, this is certainly a signal that life is moving again.

Blue Mug is an amazing place located in Jodhpur Park,it's ambience will give you immense pleasure.Visited this place with my friends in the eve of Diwali.
In starter,we ordered Apricot Chicken Wings as suggested by one of my friend,it was amazingly tasty, lipsmacking dish, highly recommended of them.
Grilled Fish Sizzlers was enjoyable in Main Course.Chicken Steak was another recommended item of them,it was heavenly tasty and tantalizing.Peri Peri Chicken was delicious and divine.
In drinks,Virgin Mojito was a refreshing one.
Management is well behaved but service is little slow, may be due to the diwali rushes. They also accept paytm. The overall food quality was excellent.A recommended one.

It's a small cafe tucked away in the Jodhpur Park area of Calcutta. The decor and atmosphere is very welcoming and the outdoor seating gives you a sense of peace and calm in the middle of a busy week. The presentation of the drinks is pretty good, the taste is okay. Both our drinks had a very very high amount of sugar; something they can definitely improve on because with the sugar reduced, the drink would taste great!

Although it's been 3 months, the place has become a local favourite of many. Warm ambience, bustling with people almost throughout the day, the place has its own charm.
Add to it the food which is kept moderately priced to allow people of all age to come and enjoy. This is a winner, for more reasons than one.
Just a heads up though, be mentality prepared to have to wait, both before & after ordering.

14 March, 2017.
I was in Kolkata, a city known for many a specialty cuisine
restaurant, which had mushroomed around the place. Designed as a
place for specialty beverages, the aroma of freshly ground
coffee blew my senses away. The place is in Jodhpur Park, and
close to the Jadavpur University campus, where I had come for some work.
My host is a complete foodie, and she and her husband usually
scout around for some lovely places to eat. I let her do the menu selection.
The place had a wonderful ambience to it. It has been done up in
an old house, with some of the old part visible, juxtaposed with
the new and modern. It has a keyboard, a guitar, some book titles
on the shelf, sofas, bean bags, and the regular chairs and
tables, for all types of tastes. The place has an outdoor sitting
area as well, which we went to initially (there was a table empty there).
However, we beat a hasty retreat, as there were quite a few smokers there.
The interior is air-conditioned. At the entrance is a pastry
fridge to entice one's taste buds, in addition to the aroma of the coffee.
Some of the lights have been placed inside brightly painted tea kettles,
with their bottoms removed. There are some modern spot lights
there, as well, on a false ceiling grid done tastefully in wood.
The bottoms-up drink glasses, along with decorative blues ones higher up,
look nice. The water dispensers are the old-style glass bottles,
with the plastic top and washer combination held down with wire.
Our host has been to this place before, and went with her
recommendations. We would start with crispy fried prawns: 6
pieces for Rs.200, complete with a nice dip, tomato sauce and
potato fingers/French fries/finger chips. For the main course,
she ordered a chicken Cordon Bleu, served with sauteed potatoes
and a nice mayonnaise salad. She ordered two servings of another
main course, a chicken steak: with sauteed vegetables (it had
Broccoli, which I simply love), herbed rice,French fries, and a
nice steak, with some very flavourful gravy on top of it.
We could barely finish one of these, and our host requested the
staff to pack in the relatively untouched one. The dessert was a dream:
lightly sweetened whipped cream in coconut milk, with coconut
shavings inside, and a small slice on top: all of this served in
half a coconut kernel. What a delightful dinner!
