Want to immerse yourself into the legacy of Kolkata, this is one place which can surely be visited once for an evening snacks break or late morning tea/ coffee halt. Tjis place, is buzzing with people at whatever time of the year you go there, even if the institutions in that zone are closed for summers or winters. It is... More

Who knows we were sipping coffee with the future Nobel laureates. Indian coffee house is one of the oldest typical bengali, worn out restaurant, which actually is the most attractive aspect of the hotel. The knowledge that 7 Nobel laureates including Rabindranath Tagore, Satyajit ray frequented the place makes it more thrilling. Don't miss the place, spend half hour sipping... More

Lovely, charming place that instantly transports one back in time. Bustling with students, professors and tourists a like this is a fine place to catch a break, have a snack and of course tuck into some local coffee (good in itself). 4/5 because service quick but a little short with you.

Kolkata visit can't be finished without stepping at Coffee House. Tis place still holding their past by interior, outfits and above all - Price! Very near to College Street, a book heaven. Foods are good. Perfect place for leisure or hangout - whenever you want.

Oh, the history in this building! To have been a fly on the wall during more interesting times lol. A simply must stop to visit. Not for the coffee, specifically, but rather for soaking in the ambiance, seemingly unchanged, a step back into yesteryear. It was great fun sitting there and imagining all the years of heady discussions that occurred... More
