The food flavour was very good but should have included more ingredients .The service and ambience was excellent. Tenzing was our server who made every possible effort to make our lunch visit worthwhile.

Excellent service, Sujata took extra care of us. When I found something too spicy I had chocolates and a fresh lime in front of before I could ask for water. They made it extra special by bringing us a little cake to celebrate Mother’s Day....The food was good and always a pleasure to return to Baan ThaiMore
Very refreshing Thai food. the peanut and basil salad and prawn starter was amazing. for main course we chose rice and Thai green curry. the taste was superlative. they also provided birthday cake as I went there for my birthday dinner.
One of the best restaurants service I’ve ever had. The hostess and waiters were extremely attentive. I can’t usually eat too much and I wanted a salad along with my main course. Shang brought me a small salad complimentary. She also brought some stir fried...vegetables. She as very helpful in suggesting certain dishes. Overall great experience!More
Simply the highest quality thai food I ever had. Everything was perfect. Cannot recommend Baan Thai highly enough! I will dream of thqt meal for years to come :)
We visited Baan Thai for lunch, and were served by Nayanika, who did an excellent job - she answered our queries in detail and recommended dishes without upselling. However, the quality of the food varied from excellent to poor. The stir-fried greens with bamboo shoot...and yellow bean paste was excellent, but the crisp-fried chicken spring rolls tasted bland. The pork in pandan leaf was good, but the quantity was too little and the wrapping so elaborate that unwrapping the parcels was a struggle. The stir-fried lamb with ginger soy sauce was very good, as was a complimentary dish of stir-fried water spinach in a garlic and black pepper sauce. Beverages were a mixed bag as well. A Shirley Temple was quite good, but a Kolkata Club didn't quite work. A Chendol Ice was mainly pineapple juice - one couldn't taste the coconut milk at all. The desserts were quite disappointing. Coconut milk with jellied water chestnuts tasted bland, and the kaffir lime brulee with lemon and chili arrived incomplete, with no granite and a piece of dry almond biscotti. This was balanced out somewhat by a rather nice coffee liqueur ordered at the end. A complimentary piece of pastry wishing us o happy anniversary was a nice touch. Given this restaurant's reputation, however, I'd say the overall experience was slightly disappointing, and I wouldn't go back again.More
I’ve been coming to Kolkata for 25 years but had never visited Baan Thai until last night. It was clearly my loss. The food is authentic, exquisite and tasty. Add the impeccable service you expect from the Oberoi group and it’s sure to be a...memorable dining experience. The food is among the best Thai food I’ve ever had and all within a beautiful setting.More
