Such an amazing experience in gettys cafe . It was a nice experience dealing with the Manager of cafe Mr Ashish Lama . As a couple or with family you can come and have a nice time. He is a very friendly person and this cafe is the only best cafe in Darjeeling where you can sit till late night and have a nice time with family friends. Must visit place in Darjeeling .

The bakery at ground / basement is the real thing. It has enough savoury things to eat as well including pizza and puffs etc. Go there. That's the real thing. The restaurant upstairs / first floor is just another very avg place which does not deserve a visit. Its confusing. Make sure you go to the bakery.

Gattys had a Great atmosphere, tasty food and friendly staff. It was our favourite place to go to, hang out and have a few drinks and grab a bite to eat in the evening. Would definitely recommend to anyone when visiting Darjeeling!

I absolutely love Gattys Cafe. The atmosphere is always warm and lovey with the nicest staff. It’s a comforting place with yummy food (especially the vegetarian spaghetti and garlic bread) and good drinks! 10/10 would recommend to anyone living in or visiting Darjeeling.

Was pleasantly surprised to see so many fellow travelers from across the world. The fire keeps the place warm in the winter cold of Darjeeling, the service is just as warm and friendly and the playlist is banging! It's almost as if this place could be Darjeeling's better kept secrets and I couldn't recommend this place more. The food here is a mix of things from all over the world and is bound to make anyone reminisce their home. Drinks are served, hot or cold, but it's the countless stories from the many travelers here that will really warm you up.

Visiting Gatty’s year after year has never failed to be anything short of a homecoming experience for me. The familiar comfort of the food here is only heightened because of the warmth of the fireplace and a fresh new playlist! The friendly service staff and the fleeting company of the people here, these are the few things I look forward to here, and it has never failed me.

Very had a very bad experience there. We ordered for a chicken dry fry but we got potatoes fries and the service was too late.. Washroom need to be serious maintained...
But we enjoyed the music and the environment there.

I spent one evening here and it was pretty quiet. The owner is very nice and the overall vibe of the place is really mellow and cool. There even offer live music! Definitely would visit again if I came back to Darjeeling.

Is difficult to find and they seem to be having problems with their kitchen - arrived at just after 7 and only thing they could offer was pasta from what is a very limited menu of perhaps 6 dishes plus a snack menu. There’s only about 5 or 6 tables so max capacity is probably 14 people. There wasn’t any music playing so just seemed like a room with some tables and a places to have a beer.
Owner was helpful though when we decided to go somewhere else giving us the short cuts rather than using the main streets.

Firstly, spotted it on my map, saw cafe, thought coffee went there, doesn't open until 6pm. Not entirely their fault.
Went back at 7 having read reviews here. Don't know if it was an off night but had the following experience:
We only have pasta or ravioli tonight, from an already small menu. We weren't going to open, I was told. Fine, we'll both have the ravioli. Hang on, went to kitchen, there is only one ravioli portion, but we can do the Arabian platter. Ok, one ravioli and one Arabian platter. We were first of 3 people in there to order, it somehow came out last and an hour after ordering it. The ravioli was good, but don't know how it took an hour. My wife's Arabian platter came out minus the main event humus, yeah we didn't have humus, I'll give you a discount. Had she known, she would have ordered pasta. Again, struggle to see how it took an hour for a pita bread, a fried egg (burned somehow) and a chopped onion salad to come out.
To top it off, when we tried to leave it seems we'd been locked in, gate padlocked. I assume they'd sold all of the food they had left and decided to close anyway- with us still in the bar!
Nice looking bar, recommend going for a beer, nice looking venue, good music. Entertaining if nothing else!

Gatty's Café is a small informal place where travellers from various parts of the world come over to catch up on their fellow mates. It offers some great views, music & food. The only thing is the place really warms up a bit late in the evening so best advise is to drop in after 7
