I would rather go to other restaurants. The capacity in Kunga restaurant is too little to handle crowd. They take more than 45 mins(in our case they couldn't serve a plate of chicken momo that we ordered) to serve food and I felt their attitude...is not caring as there's regular flow of customers. I would avoid going next time there when there are larger restaurants available around that.More

This is a small restaurant; it seems to be popular. We went for lunch around 12:30pm, and after a while there was a wait for tables. Food was definitely very good and very spicy. We had momos, soup, friend rice, and veg curry. This was...a notch better than another tibetan restaurant next door. Service was slightly worse. Food takes a long time after ordering. They serve a large portion.More

The food is excellent. However, since it is a small restaurant, waiting times are long. They serve all the dishes together and with people waiting outside, it is a bit rushed eating. A great place to try for sure, the food is really good.

It’s undoubtedly a good place to have the best of Tibetan food in Darjeeling , but they are too arrogant and rude towards customers . Just because you are not allowed to enter the small eatery during their own lunchtime , they will not even...allow you to stand outside their gate on the public thoroughfare to wait for their service to resume . The arrogance of the staff is such that even though you may request to take a booking they will shoo you off and ask you to come only when the services resume and if there are anybody who has been lucky to come before you or somebody of their chosen many , you will be allowed to get the privilege to order . It’s known to all that major brands worldwide had to shut shops unless they are customer centric , so don’t bask in being the only blessed 1 , when God is kind .More

Overall a good experience with most of the staff very respectful and courteous…however; there was one (maybe owner) who had very little customer focus. While we had spoken to two of their staff and they asked us to come back by 2pm…this so called staff/owner...without checking was plain rude by saying she didn’t ask us to wait and she doesn’t know if we had been there earlier and have spoken to the other staff. She needs to be educated on patience and customer focus.More

Great spot. Went thrice during my stay. Some of the best momos I've had. The glass noodles (Phing) are pretty good as well. But the place is small, and gets crowded. I suggest you avoid the peak times if you want to avoid a queue.

We had to stand in a queue for an hour... Sitting area is very poor inside. Apart from the cheese chicken momos, every item was absolutely disgusting. Chilly chicken was hard and didn't have a good taste. Fried rice tasted like wayside food. Process of...taking order was disgusting. It is an over hyped place. Will never visit again.More

Our first night in town we noticed how popular this small restaurant was, so we decided to give it a try. What a sweet place! The food was made to order and very good! The handmade momos were excellent. The vegetable soup with handmade pasta...was excellent as well. The portions were generous and the food arrived piping hot. The menu is quite large, offering a full variety of offerings. It was hard to choose. You may have to wait outside for a table, but the staff is very accommodating and kind. If you want authentic Tibetan food at a great price, this is a good choice.More

Over-hyped and overrated place. The food tasted just below average. Tried, soup, noodles, momos and some other dishes. It was smelly and bad. Not recommended if you are looking for nice food in town.
