Being one of the oldest outlet offering traditional chaats and other snacks, which are supposed to be delicacies we thought of trying it out. With lots of expectations we ordered few items. We were shocked to see the poor and irresponsible response of the staff...in preparing the chaat items. When finally we got them, it was more shocking the way it was served. Items which were supposed to be served hot were served cold. Like Aloo Tikki, which when we asked the cashier in the counter (probably owner), he too responded as though we are having the item first time. The staff even was hesitant in giving enough chutneys for chaat items. Shocking it was, if such is the attitude of outlet which thinks that its customers are fools and does not know how and in what form items are prepared and served, better off one is going elsewhere to mushrooming new outlets in the city.More

This is one of the old famous places in Chennai maybe three decades old and has some of the best Bhel Puri, Paani Puri, Papdi Chat, Dahin Papdi Chat, Dahin Vadaa,Samosas,Sandwiches, Jalebi’s and other sweet and sour savouries that are very tasty and simply delicious...😋. I paid a visit here after a very long time and the best part is that they have maintained the same standards till date. Keep it up guys !! Dr. Javed RasheedMore

One of the finest place to have Chaat in Chennai, its clean and pricey. 50 Rupees for Pani Puri? Did not try so can't comment if it is worth it or not however Wadapav was not as okay so was Khandvi except that we really...liked Khakhra Sandwich and Sev Puri and Dahi PuriMore

This is one of the good finds thanks to my wife. The jilebi is the pioneering sweet here. One would go to this shop just to taste their jilebis'. They also make live chats and it is of great taste and quality. Other sweets that...they offer are also worth buying. If you are looking for a weekend chat out, this is the best place for that.More

Ajnabi - Yummy chats around Egmore area. Clean & hygienic place. Price seems to be on higher side compared. The variety of snacks items will make you feel hungry each time passing through the Pantheon road.

We visited the one on OMR. The chat items were all good - we had Dahi wada, dahi puri, Samosa chenna chat, Dohkla. Dohkla was very fluffy and excellent. We also had some dhall mix and Palak pakoda. All were very good. Definitely a nice...place to give taste buds a treat !More

I was visiting India last month and was touring the city in search of the best chaat. I visited Ajnabi after several recommendations. I can safely say that this place has the best chaat in the city. Bursting with flavor and freshness, every dish was...a treat. The Raj Kachori was the best of what we had. The humble bhel puri was crisp and generous in portion. Dahi papdi chaat, dhokla and cheese toast were all good. There were interesting options in the menu (murukku sandwich!) which we couldn't try as our tummy was satisfied already. Please go here chaat lovers.More
