We had a good dinner on the rooftop restaurant at Taj Clubhouse. The dishes we tried were the kebab and spanakopitas for starters and the lamb tajine, iraqi chicken with lentils, the chicken with rice and leek ravioli. The small plates are just okay for...a less hungry person. The dishes were all great. The desserts we tried were the baklava and kenafe - both mediocre and far from authentic, though freshly made. The chef came out and chatted with us. Sitting outside exposes one to mosquitoes and the smelly wind from the river. Otherwise the view of LIC is nice. With wine, we spent Rs 9000 for 4 of us - reasonableMore

I love Mediterranean food so I had to check this one out. We visited as two on a Friday evening for dinner. Seating:5/5 Roof top setting near the pool. If also have indoors seats, if you prefer so. We had a table reserved outside. Chair...a bit too big but comfortable. It's very gently lit with only a lamp on the table and very soft music in background. It was perfect for us. Food:5/5 We had two beverages with melon and lichi, both very refreshing. After complimentary breads and dips (very good, can't have enough of it), we had the Mezze sampler with four items (Falafel, Spanakopita, Halloumi Bil Batata & Kolokythakia) amazing taste. That followed a palate cleanser, a fruit sorbet in dry ice, nice! For mains we had Paella De Verdure, delicious! We finished with a dessert sampler (Baklava, Kunafe - my fav & Cheese cake). Service:4/5 The servers were very polite and helpful. The Chef in-charge (I'm sorry I didn't get the name) was very friendly, we chatted a bit. Why 4 for service? It's on the higher side of the price. It's fine dinning and it's Taj, so. All was very nice, I'll definitely visit again. It was very pleasant, except a very very chaotic & noisy group of adults partying besides the pool, disturbing all the guests throughout the dinner. We wished we were considerate of others not screaming and wanting to have a peaceful meal. The management could've politely interfered to keep it down, but no one did.More

This place is one of the best place for Hookah in Chennai. It's situated on the rooftop of Taj Club House, so you really can expect something unique. The ambience is really simple and nice. Blue is what they chose, pretty nice. Hookah are a...little costly. One flavour costs you Rs. 800 whereas mixed costsp you Rs. 1100. You can have it until you drop. The drinks are costly, you can expect that. It's by the pool side, dates would really be eventful with your loved ones. As far as the hookah goes, it's okay to have a few expensive memories as well. You won't find any food there. So better fill your bellies before visiting. Go there to spend some quality time.More

I praise the chefs for serving up dish after dish of stunning flavours. We had the Paila and the mixed grill, the staff is open to swapping out options within the meals and we're really happy that they acceded to that. The desserts are to...die for especially the Baklava which was a fresh-nutty surprise doused with syrup and served warm. Staff was attentive and keen to make recommendations off the menu. Really enjoyable, only thing is that the AC could be adjusted to match the weather conditions. We were just in from the rain and had the AC blowing directly at us throughout the meal, it wasn't unpleasant, just slightly annoying.More
