Veg thali is out of this world! Service is at par with taj hospitality. Dal indus is one of the better most dal makhanis of Chennai.

Nice restaurant with an appealing menu. Most dishes are offered as either small or large plates, which is a great innovation if you want to try more dishes or have a smaller appetite. The service was reasonable, but not as slick as one would expect...in a Taj property. The restaurant decor is stylish and atmospheric, however on the occasion that I dined here the ambiance was spoiled by a group with noisy unruly young children. Food was good and well spiced. Enjoyable dinner, apart from the noisy children. Drinks prices were very high.More

The famous Taj hospitality, fantastic Daal Makhni or Daal Indus as it’s called here, vegetable biryani and stuffed vegetable Kulcha it leavened flat bread, ambient lighting and friendly staff all made for a great meal experience. The only issue being their plates which are impractical...to use. They’re probably meant for meals table d hote or TDH. Try eating from a plate which isn’t circular and you’ll see how utterly clumsy it gets to eat an Indian meal. Situated in the Taj Clubhouse off amount Road the restaurant is easy to locate. Parking isn’t an issue.More

The food in this restaurant was from Sindh and Rawalpindi. The preparations were excellent and staff was very efficient. He suggested the speciality food and insisted on the special dessert. Whatever we ate was excellent and it is a must go place in the Taj...club house. The chef came over to our table to enquire of our liking giving the dinner a very warm touch.More

Chef Sumeet Sood creates magic. I usually tend to avoid North Indian cuisine due to calories but I absolutely couldn’t resist this dinner! We had the set menu which was delicious! Must haves are the Galouti Kebabs (minced lamb kebabs) which took me back to...my childhood days in Delhi. They melt in your mouth! I don’t think even Tunde in Lucknow can beat this. The second favourite was the Dal! Made overnight in ghee is super delicious and makes you ask for more! If you are on Keto or a veggie lover Chef Sumeet’s tandoori broccoli is a must have! I finished the entire tray. Definitely do not leave without trying his special halwa! You wouldn’t stop eating! It’s made of figs, almonds and some special ingredients ( chef’s special recipe ) is a delight and a perfect end to a fab meal! Must visit especially when craving North Indian cuisine or visiting India for the first time!More

I have not heard too much about this restaurant which is located at Taj Club House, Chennai. The fare is North Indian and the restaurant was not crowded on the weekday we went. The service was nice without being suffocating. The food itself was very...good with a good variety of North Indian curries-both vegetarian and non-veg. The ambience was nice and it wasnt a large restaurant. So, probably would recommend a reservation especially on weekends.More

By virtue of being tucked in a corner in the lobby area of the beautiful Hotel Taj Club House, the restaurant exudes a rejuvenating calmness. The ambience is cosy and warm, and conducive to conversations. The Sunday Thali (Non Veg) I had, came with a...tomato shorba with basil, chicken tikka, dal makhani, chicken curry, mixed veg dry, indian breads, pulao and a dessert (a saffron pistachio pudding in my case). The food was just right - right temperature, right cooked, right spiced, right portioned. I am a moderate eater and I was full with one serving. But of course, one can ask for more. The Taj hospitality is a plus and I have hardly ever been disappointed with it. The team took care of me. They let me read my book and knew when to ask the next question. The Thali is reasonably priced with a Taj tag and one is unlikely to go wrong with Beyond Indus. There is, of course, valet parking and billing was by card and hassle free. Meal for 2: INR 2500More
