When dining invokes nostalgia . Paati veedu ( Grandma’s Home ) has a beautiful vintage ambience and serves one of the finest vegetarian cuisine. One could see the love and effort that would have gone in creating such a restaurant . The 7 course meal...was incredible having some of the traditional South Indian receipe. The starters with Nannari Sherbat, & Goosebery mint cooler was refreshing. Kozhakattai , Idiyappam sodhi, Milagu Kozhambu Sadham were interesting menu. The main course was a very hearty Thali . Desert course had offbeat Karupati Halwa,Theratti paal, Payasam . A very clever idea to have a piece of savoury in the desert course to help give break from too much sweet.More

One definitely has to experience the food here to know how divine it was. Vegetarian food with a touch of Grandmothers love as the name says 'Paati Veedu' at its best. The service makes you want to visit this place again and again - so...warm and courteous. The interiors are spacious beautifully done. They even have an outdoor seating space with thinnai, rocking chairs and a lot of 80's - 90's games like pallanguzhi, paramapadham, and lots more. Our dining was more of a ‘little things that matter’ concept! From starters to dessert and beverages, every thing was served in tiny portions sure to make you feel full at the end of the meal. For the welcome drink, we had : Muskmelon, Beetroot & Ginger Lemon Juice! No preservatives, No sugar – Healthy eating feels! 😋 For the starters, Vazhaipoo Vadai, Sambar Vadai, Karamani Sunday – all tiny portions and also, did I mention it’s unlimited! Here comes the first main course – Masala Dosa, Lemon Sevai with 3 side dish – Sambar, Chutney, Boondi Raita – I had to ask for the Boondi Raita thrice 🤤 Second set of main course and I’m almost full. My plate looks like it’s just filled with happiness – Poori, Pongal, Vathakuzhambu sadham and 5 varities of side dish *loud burp* 😂 Being at such an authentic south Indian restaurant, how can we miss Thayir Sadham with Mor Molaga 🤤 here’s more reasons why I will visit this place again n again! 💕 Ahh! How long it’s been since I had authentic south indian dessert and snacks!Palkova – I had to refill it twice again, gulab jamun my love, wheat halwa just melted in my mouth and seedai! 😍 I’m more of a chai person than a coffee person. I’ve had coffee only handful of times in my entire life and after having this filter coffee, I think I might get addicted to caffeine! Vetrilai, Sunnambu and Paaku for the finishing touch! 👏 Overall, I personally had an amazing experience, more of a royal dining experience. The staffs treat you with utmost care and courtesy. Paati Veedu – A royal dining experience! More

Went there on multiple occasions for dinner and never took the time to review the place. Amazing décor laid out like a traditional home visit. Good thing to begin with is a valet parking though there are enough parking spaces available. Good waiting area as...well in case you don’t have any confirmed reservations. They have a set menu plus a la carte from the menu to choose from. We have always preferred the set menu. It started with three types of welcome drink, appetizers, main course, dessert and finally coffee or tea. Food is served in small quantity and of course you can request to repeat should you prefer to have another one. It’s a good value for time and even the music which is being played goes well along with the place and style. Excellent service and wide spaced out tables makes it easier to have a good conversation over dinner. They do have seating on the top additionally I could see outdoor seating on the top as well. Just while leaving the restaurant on the left they also have a small shop called Bhakshana By Paati Veedu which serves a lot of deserts, savoury and snacks. Worth to give it a try as well. Overall the place will bring back some nostalgic memories and it’s a great experience for anyone who wants to explain about certain traditions, culture of Tamilians and their food which is tough to find among modern trendy restaurants.More

Very poor service. While I reached the place, front security stopped us and asked to wait for 5 min as the restaurant is full.after some time while we entered the restaurant we found most of the tables free. They give a false impression as if...the restaurant is full. Also, food is very expensive and not worth it.More

When we entered the place itself it gave us a feeling of Olden Days, rich family atmosphere. Before we ordered food, our kids all above 18 from abroad went around the place. They liked the Jula. Though it is a combination of tradition and modern mix,it really...lived upto out expectation. We went during Lunch and we got the food one after another. We had breakfast hence it was very filling.Though costly we enjoyed the taste. Starters were different and good. So many varieties. It was really a grand treat for them and me too. Cozy corner, ambience etc good.More

The restaurent has certain uniqueness such as its name, the menu and the way the food is served. Unlike many other restuarents where you get several varieties served at a time or in a normal buffet where the items are displayed, here they show you...the menu and explain the items and the price clearly before you even step in. So, no customer can say they were not aware of the varieties. In the same sequence as given in the menu, items are served one after the other. Only when you finish what is offered, the next item is brought. Each item is served in a small cup/ plate in limited quantities with a comment that you can ask for repeat. This way, I think wastage are minimised. Almost all items are tasty. The ambience is also good and service is good. One of the waiters attends to you continuously. Hygiene levels are also very good. It is a pleasant experience to dine here. However during lunch there is no option of ala carte. Price is also in the higher side may be discouraging repeat customers. Overall it is worth experiencing.More
