The Haveli is fantastic, clean and comfortable tastefully decorated. The French owner Herve is a true gentleman, he is very kind and we cannot thank him enough for his kindness to us. Thanks to him we got to see the Taj, but that is a...long story! Back to his gorgeous Haveli. Herve has trained an excellent cook and the food was the best we had in Jaipur, it was lovely to have something other than Indian food and we were getting rather tired of currys! Excellent food and host. We would of course go back and recommend you stay and eat in this beautiful place. Herve is a mosaic artist 🎨 and you can tell by the way the whole place looks, really tastefully furnished. Thank you so much Herve, we cannot thank you enough.More
The Food was not good, Specially Paneer Tikka was not good. The service part was also not satisfactory.
Great hosts and simple khana if you find yourself hungry in Amber.
How on earth did i discover a place like this in Jaipur??? Ok, so it started with a simple conversation over a party with a dear friend. She mentioned this place in the interiors of Amber, where you have to pre-book a meal for a...limited number of people; Cooked especially for you (By a french gentleman) and you can choose between Italian/ french / Indian Cuisine. After trying to book a table for 3 days, we finally got a table on August 17th. We drove from our place with 3 couples, who also happen to be great food lovers and friends! We reached the place at around 9:00 p.m. The initial experience was scary, coz to reach Mosaic; you have to cross a narrow dirt road covered with bushes all around. At night, It’s almost like you are going into a jungle. Once we crossed the dirt road, we reached something that looked like a residential area and The Mosaic’s Guesthouse looked more like a residential house from the exterior. Once we entered Inside we saw a quaint little courtyard and a gorgeous table laid out "just for us". Check my pictures and you will know, what i am talking about. Enough with the praises, now coming down to details. We chose Italian and the pre-booked meal costs INR 550 per person. It includes: One Salad, One Soup, Breads, one starter, Pasta in 3 different sauces, Pizza, one dessert. Coffee and water charged extra. So we started with Bruschetta. My Verdict: Fantastic. Perfect bite sized pieces, sprinkled with oodles of extra virgin olive oil, juicy Tomatoes and Basil. Amazing!!! This was followed by a veg soup. It had many veggies in it but i could only figure carrots and olive oil and butter. Verdict: Yummy!!! With the soup they served us buttered crispy toasts...just the right thing to increase your appetite. Following This came The spirali pasta pasta. There was one in a home made pesto sauce.Another in a yummy tomato, garlic and onion sauce. And my favourite was the spirali in a white creamy sauce with chicken. Verdict: Not cheesy nor oily like the Indian Pasta. Very Authentic and really Yummy!!! Along with the pasta came the thin crust pizzas. The topping was simple- olives, tomatoes and chicken. Verdict: Again, Not cheesy like its Indian Avatar, This was really crispy and delicious Pizza that you would not want to ruin with any sauce! At the end of this sumptuous and delicious meal, came the STAR of THE EVENING: The Chocolate Cake! No frosting, slightly warm as it was freshly baked. Not too sweet, a little crunchy on the top and really soft and gooey inside!!! Verdict: Do I need to say more???? It was amazing! At the end we ordered some coffee and got a fantastic French press brew! The Mosaic’s dinner with friends was not just a great meal but an experience by itself. The novelty of a meal especially cooked for you served only for a select few made it something i will never forget all my life. The hospitality of Sitaramji and the food made and served with so much love made it a special evening. I am sure i am going back there soon!More
